Liverpool v Arsenal | CotC with Dan Lord & Adam Pritchard | Planet FPL 2025/26
28/08/2025 Duración: 54minIt's a crunch Clash of the Correspondents ahead of the meeting between last season's top two at Anfield on Sunday. James is joined by Liverpool fan Dan Lord and Arsenal fan Adam Pritchard to preview the games and discuss their openings to the season where both have started with two win from two. But for Champions Liverpool it's not been convincing with four goals shipped and late winners against Bournemouth and ten man Newcastle. Is there cause for genuine concern? Arsenal didn't convince either at Old Trafford in the opener, but won convincingly against Leeds. How confident are they of winning at Anfield with Bukayo Saka injured and ,Martin Odegaard possibly out too. There's further discussion on transfers, including how Arsenbal may integrate Eberechi Eze and the ongoing Aklexander Isak saga, plus FPL chat of course on all the big names from both teams. The Jury's Out | Planet FPL S. 9 Ep. 11 | GW2 Review | Fantasy Premier League
26/08/2025 Duración: 01h41minSuj and James review another dramatic weekend for FPL managers, with more popular assets blanking and some others now injured. It means for many action needs to be taken, but there's a key reminder on this Podcast of one very big reason why patience may be the right play for many. All the games reviewed, which featured another humbling for West Ham where Joao Pedro went big, Tottenham putting in a professional display at Manchester City and earning a deserved victory, Arsenal got five against Leeds, there were important wins for Brentford and Burnley and Liverpool won at Newcastle last night in dramatic fashion. Transfer targets are a theme of the Podcast, particularly in the midfield area and there's a warning to consider the unknowns when thinking about many players of interest. Burnley v Sunderland | CotC with Jack Toner & Spencer Barrowman | Planet FPL 2025/26
21/08/2025 Duración: 51minOn the return of Clash of the Correspondents James is joined by two of the promoted Correspondents, Burnley fan Jack Toner and Sunderland fan Spencer Barrowman ahead of a crucial meeting between the clubs at Turf Moor on Saturday. There's reflection on contrasting fortunes at the weekend, with the high of Sunderland's 3-0 win and the disappointment of defeat for Burnley at Tottenham, where despite playing well in spells, they were eventually well beaten. And they have some very tough fixtures to come after the weekend. With that in mind, have Burnley got to win already when considering their upcoming schedule and with the other two promoted teams having already won? Do they change system? And how might Sunderland approach this tactically? Plus FPL chat on enablers for those to consider on a Free Hit, scenarios where defensive enablers should be started this week, best long term picks from the 4.0s and more. Reijn It In | Planet FPL S. 9 Ep. 10 | GW1 Review | Fantasy Premier League
18/08/2025 Duración: 02h03minGameweek 1 is nine tenths done and though there are some outstanding scores out there it has been a tough weekend for many FPL managers with a number of popular FPL assets blanking. All 9 games covered in detail and a theme from the weekend is a number of cheap midfield options performing well, and none have attracted more attention in the FPL Community than Manchester City's Tijani Reijnders, who is already up to 5.6 and likely to see continued investment. So was his dominant performance at Wolves a one-off or a sign of things to come? Antoine Semenyo and Hugo Ekitike are also early price risers following returns in an exciting Friday opener where there were mixed returns for FPL managers. Plus, players on radar for those on a Free Hit in GW2 feature not just Arsenal, Bournemouth and City assets, but those from Chelsea and Villa who blanked in 0-0 draws could be worth keeping ahead of respective trips to Brentford and West Ham who both conceded three on the road. So too, did Burnley, and there was more t

Sunderland with Spencer Barrowman | Correspondent Week ep.20 | Planet FPL 2025/26
08/08/2025 Duración: 56minOn the conclusion of Correspondent Week James is joined by Spencer Barrowman to discuss all things Sunderland ahead of their return to the Premier League and they have enablers available and attractive first three fixtures. Marc Guiu has joined from Chelsea and offers a legitimate 4.5 forward option for FPL managers, but is he the Sunderland attacker to start with? There's also 4.0 defensive options and a number of attractive midfield options. They're all covered in a get-to-know the squad theme that also includes discussion on manager Regis Le Bris, the ownership of the club and whether we can expect further signings. Tottenham Hotspur with Ricky Saunders | Correspondent Week ep.19 | Planet FPL 2025/26
08/08/2025 Duración: 58minThere's a reason we left this one until near the end... a week ago all seemed positive at Tottenham Hotspur, a win against rivals Arsenal, but a week on and James Maddison has picked up an ACL injury, others such as Destiny Udogie and Dominic Solanke, who were meant to be back still aren't, and last night Bayern Munich handed Thomas Frank's boys a bit if a football lesson. Ricky Saunders joins James to discuss what that means for Fantasy ahead of an enticing set of fixtures. Pedro Porro, Cristian Romero and Micky Van De Ven all still appeal at different price points and parts of the FPL community want one of Brennan Johnson or Mohammed Kudus. But might a cheaper alternative step up in the opening weeks of the season? Brighton with Sam Murray | Correspondent Week ep.18 | Planet FPL 2025/26
08/08/2025 Duración: 49minSam Murray joins James as we head towards the conclusion of Correspondent Week and James is particularly keen to get more info on a number of potential Brighton assets, but will Sam deliver positive news? Bart Verbuggen and Maxim De Cuyper may appeal to those looking for defensive reinforcements, Danny Welbeck looks to be the clear first choice upfront and the attacking trio behind of Yankubah Minteh, Kaoru Mitoma and Georginio Rutter could all get attention ahead of the opener. But can Brighton be trusted after an inconsistent first season under Fabian Hurzeler? And can the assets be relied upon when there are so many options for selection? Plus, there's assessment of a tough opening run of fixtures, an intro to the new signings and a look at those who have left, including Joao Pedro. Arsenal with Adam Pritchard | Correspondent Week ep.17 | Planet FPL 2025/26
08/08/2025 Duración: 54minArsenal finally have their out and out striker in Victor Gyokeres. Does Arsenal fan Adam Pritchard believe he'll hit the ground running for The Gunners? Perhaps, it will take a while to see the best of the Swedish forward and Arsenal have early changes to overcome with a daunting opening six fixtures. That means many are overlooking their assets at the start, but should they? There's assessment on the new signings, if we can expect Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard back at their best after last season's injury issues and there's of course coverage of the backline. And that GW2 fixture at home to Leeds shouldn't be forgotten, and may well influence some final choices for FPL managers. Aston Villa with Lee Jackson | Correspondent Week ep.16 | Planet FPL 2025/26
07/08/2025 Duración: 48minLee Jackson joins James on the conclusion of Day 4 to discuss all things Aston Villa, and the recording comes hot after Morgan Rogers limped off only seven minutes into his appearance for Aston Villa last night. There's discussion on Villa with and without Rogers, and what it might mean for talisman Ollie Watkins ahead of the opener against Newcastle and a very appealing opening seven fixtures. Donyell Malen was catching the attention of the FPL community even before the Rogers injury scare, his prospects, the fellow 5.5 midfielders and the slightly more expensive Youri Tielemans are assessed. And Villa did start keeping clean sheets towards the end of the season. With those brilliant fixtures in mind is there a 4.5 gem to be considered? Wolves with Bradley Parker | Correspondent Week ep.15 | Planet FPL 2025/26
07/08/2025 Duración: 53minJames has got the bleach ready after another difficult summer for Wolves with three key players leaving, yet despite some big concerns, even correspondent Bradley Parker has some interest in some Wolves assets. There are standouts, forward Jorgen Strand Larsen, new signing Jhon Arias and defender Emmnauel Agbadou standout but there are others worthy of consideration too. But FPL optimism is tempered by concern about general personnel with reinforcements needed to improve depth in some areas and a right wing-back is very much required. But will the owners spend? Everton with Sean Norton | Correspondent Week ep.14 | Planet FPL 2025/26
07/08/2025 Duración: 50minSean Norton joins James to talk Everton assets ahead of the club's move into their new stadium, but is there concern with pre season performances questionable and new signings slow to come in? The addition to FPL of DEFCONs make Everton's centre-backs appeal? So should Fantasy managers consider James Tarkowski or Jarrod Branthwaite in favour of Jordan Pickford who has been the top scoring goalkeeper in FPL for the last two seasons? There's also an in-depth chat on the prospects of Iliman Diaye, whether Beto or new forward Thierno Barry can be considered upfront and what The Toffees are doing in the transfer market to try and get ready for their opener at promoted Leeds.
