  • Ep 755 | Revival at Asbury University?

    15/02/2023 Duración: 55min

Today we're talking about the "Asbury Revival," currently taking place at Asbury University in Kentucky. Last week, after a regular weekly chapel service at the university, students didn't leave. Instead, they continued worshiping and have not stopped for over 130 hours and counting. There have been reports of people traveling cross-country to experience this unplanned event, and many have claimed it's unlike other "revivals" that have left some skeptical. We cover the important questions that need to be asked, such as whether the gospel is actually being preached and what kind of teaching is happening in the midst of worship. We provide some encouragement and challenge for Asbury students, who have the potential to use this "revival" for God's glory even after it's over. Then, we take a look at Chelsea Handler's obsession with being childless. While guest-hosting "The Daily Show" last week, Handler did both a monologue and a skit about how "free" she is because she doesn't have kids, and she was ... really t

  • Ep 754 | 'UFOs' & Ohio Disaster: What’s REALLY Happening | Guest: James Jay Carafano

    14/02/2023 Duración: 54min

Today we're joined by James Jay (Jim) Carafano, Vice President for National Security & Foreign Policy at The Heritage Foundation, to discuss these mysterious UFOs that have seemed to puzzle the Pentagon over the past few weeks. The truth is, they're likely a lot less mysterious than people are being led to believe. It's not been released that these flying objects are, in fact, balloons as well. We break down where they probably came from and the science behind why they all seem to look different and be flying at different altitudes. We also discuss the response from the White House (or lack thereof) and how vulnerable this makes our country to foreign enemies. Then, we talk about the Ohio train derailment disaster, which saw thousands of people evacuated from East Palestine, Ohio, after a train crashed and started leaking toxic chemicals. We look at the cleanup response and aftermath, which has seen livestock and fish dead and water contaminated. How bad is this disaster, and what are the consequences 15-20 y

  • Ep 753 | 'He Gets Us': The Good, the Bad & the Unbiblical

    13/02/2023 Duración: 01h06min

Today we're discussing the 'He Gets Us' campaign, as promised! The $100 million advertising campaign seeks to promote Jesus and Christianity through TV spots in prime time, billboards, and social media feeds. These ads portray Jesus as a refugee, an activist, and an influencer, among other characteristics, and aim to communicate his relatability to modern problems (ultimately leading people to the "He Gets Us" site). Two of these ads ran in last night's Super Bowl and made big waves among Christians and non-Christians. One of the problems with the campaign is its claims about Jesus, which are not entirely accurate and/or are missing important context. The campaign does not align with any specific denomination or doctrine, but rather seeks to partner with churches and organizations who can use its resources for outreach. We discuss the major concerns of the campaign, but also highlight some of the good that can come from it. It's exciting to see a campaign like "He Gets Us" put big money behind helping people

  • Ep 752 | YouTube Kids, Disney+ Go All In On Queer & Critical Theory | Guest: Aldo Buttazzoni

    09/02/2023 Duración: 49min

Today we're joined by Aldo Buttazzoni of PragerU to discuss his recent exposé on YouTube Kids content and the new controversial Disney+ "Proud Family" show. In this report, posted via Twitter, Aldo reveals what disgusting content is not only made available, but advertised to kids upon first creating an account. One account, called "Queer Kid Stuff," breaks down the infinite sexualities in the LGBTQ+ group and details what each letter means. We also discuss Aldo's trip to the Los Angeles Zoo Drag Night, which was marketed to kids as young as 2. Then, we take a look at Disney+'s new show, "The Proud Family," where in one episode titled "Juneteenth," the characters proclaim that slaves built America, Abraham Lincoln didn't actually free slaves, and that black people are deserving of reparations and demand to be paid. Why is more and more of this content creeping into kids' programming? We also look at what's going on in Florida with Governor DeSantis' pushback on critical race theory and diversity, equity, and i

  • Ep 751 | Biden’s Absurd State of the Union Address

    08/02/2023 Duración: 47min

Today we're talking about Biden's State of the Union address last night. We cover some of the funniest moments from the night – Biden gaffes included – but we also break down some of the topics he brought up, from the praise of abortion (cue roaring applause from the Democrats) to violence and gun control to taxes and oil. The Republicans were particularly heated throughout the speech, yelling back at the president's claims on fentanyl at the border and the GOP's supposed plans for Social Security. We debunk some of Biden's claims, and we take a look at Sarah Huckabee Sanders' response on behalf of the GOP. --- Timecodes: (00:40) State of the Union (05:45) Jill Biden kiss (07:54) Biden gaffs (11:13) Abortion (19:40) "Transgender young people" (24:52) Violence (28:04) Fentanyl (33:04) Social security (37:05) Taxing the rich (40:15) Oil (43:13) GOP response --- Today's Sponsors: Birch Gold — protect your future with gold. • Ep 750 | Is Andy Stanley Gay-Affirming? | Guest: Jacob Kersey

    07/02/2023 Duración: 01h02min

Today we're talking about Andy Stanley's latest controversy after he said in a conference speech that gay churchgoers seem to have a lot more faith than straight ones. We explain why the language Stanley uses, as well as his dismissal of scripture (calling relevant verses "clobber passages"), is ultimately unloving, as it dismisses the need for repentance for both this lifestyle and the reliance upon "sexual identity." We break down exactly what he said in his speech and give some background info on Stanley's history of controversy. In 2018, Stanley found himself in hot water after he undermined the authority of scripture in a speech, claiming that Christians should "unhitch" from the Old Testament. And ultimately, if Andy Stanley believes he can do a better job of reaching people than God can, or believes that God is too harsh, then we should call this out. Then, we're joined by Jacob Kersey, a former police officer who made headlines last week after he was put on leave for refusing to take down a social med

  • Ep 749 | Grammys Go Satanic

    06/02/2023 Duración: 58min

Today we're discussing Sam Smith and Kim Petras' Grammys performance, which featured blatant satanic imagery including Smith dressing up as the devil, Petras dancing in a cage, and dominatrices wearing satanic headgear. We take a look at what their inspiration was for the performance (hint: it's ridiculous) and why it's yet another example of Hollywood's obsession with satanic imagery. We talk about how, while this blatant satanic worship is worrying, it's not the biggest concern we should be focused on. False gospel teachers and those influencing our children are an even greater threat to our worldview. We also discuss the Chinese spy balloon that flew over the U.S. last week until it was shot down a few days ago. We look at some of the theories about the balloon and just how concerned we should be. --- Timecodes: (00:44) Intro (02:19) Sam Smith & Kim Petras' Grammys performance (20:10) When others call you "-phobe" (28:37) Grammys fashion (39:50) Chinese spy balloon --- Today's Sponsors: StartMail — k

  • REPLAY: Kids Are Not Public School Missionaries | Guest: Dr. Voddie Baucham

    02/02/2023 Duración: 45min

Today we're joined by Dr. Voddie Baucham, dean of theology at African Christian University in Zambia, to discuss the current state of the country and the topics of public schools, race, diversity, and Christian nationalism. First, with the midterm election coming up in two weeks, we look at how Christians can come to terms with where we've found ourselves as a nation in the midst of drag queen story hours and corporate CRT policies. We talk about the depravity of public school curriculum and the popular philosophy of sending kids to public school as "missionaries." We break down how CRT and race politics are merely about power and how the Left only wants diversity if it's ethnic diversity. Then, we dive into how "Christian nationalism" has become a trigger phrase for the Left and what it actually means. --- Previous Episodes with Dr. Baucham: Ep 282 | Exposing & Opposing Social Justice Theology | Guest: Dr. Voddie Baucham https://apple.co/3grw2G0 Ep 460 | How Social Justice Activism Is Infecting The Churc

    31/01/2023 Duración: 01h02min

Today we’re joined by Benjamin Blake Howard, pastor and author of "From Mascara to Manhood," to discuss his story of leaving a life of homosexuality and drag queen performance and finding the Lord. We discuss his upbringing and what events led to him creating his “drag character,” as well as why it was so appealing to him at the time. He shares about his decision to leave drag behind, his struggle with homosexuality, and how he ended up at a ministry school (of all places), where he ultimately found true healing and redemption in Christ. He offers some encouragement and advice on how to reach those who are struggling as he did.  --- Today's Sponsors: StartMail — keep your email private - every email can be encrypted! • Ep 747 | No, “Whiteness” Isn’t to Blame for Tyre Nichols’ Murder

    30/01/2023 Duración: 56min

Today we're talking about the tragic death of Tyre Nichols and the aftermath, which included riots and calls for social justice, many claiming that the killing was due to "systemic whiteness," despite the cops who killed him all being black. It's a very good thing that the officers are being held accountable, yet it's incredibly sad to see the reaction immediately shift to race. What really constitutes justice in this case? We look at how the officers involved were hired due to lowered department standards and the lie that law enforcement is rooted in white supremacy. Then, we look at Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic's win at the 2023 Australian Open. He is said to be the best tennis player in the world, but was left unable to compete in the 2022 Australian Open after he was deported because he chose to remain unvaccinated. We take a look at his big win and how much sweeter it is after he stuck to his guns. In contrast, we look at a Finnish transgender farmer turned ice skater who was allowed to skate at

    26/01/2023 Duración: 41min

We're finishing off the week by diving into some of your questions! Is the "He Gets Us" campaign biblical? Is the death penalty justified if Jesus paid for our sins? • Ep 745 | Life as a Duggar & Letting Go of Legalism | Guest: Jinger Duggar Vuolo

    25/01/2023 Duración: 47min

Today we’re joined by Jinger Duggar Vuolo, author of "Becoming Free Indeed: My Story of Disentangling Faith from Fear," and formerly of the "19 Kids and Counting" franchise. In her new book, Jinger shares her theological journey from following a fundamentalist leader to finding freedom in Christ. We discuss her upbringing under the teachings of Bill Gothard, who taught strict rules on modesty and behavior, and how these teachings were rooted in fear, superstition, and control and led Jinger to believe she needed to earn favor with God. We discuss her childhood growing up on TV (despite never watching TV), struggling with an eating disorder, and wrestling with the idea of attending a church outside her doctrine growing up. We discuss how Jinger met her husband, Jeremy, and how his theology helped shape hers. Jinger explains the difference between “deconstruction” and “disentangling” faith and why disentangling can lead to true restoration under biblical truth. --- Timecodes: (01:09) Interview with Jinger be

  • Ep 744 | Great Reset Update: GAEA, Boiling Oceans, & Extraterrestrial Superheroes | Guest: Justin Haskins

    24/01/2023 Duración: 44min

Today we're joined by show favorite Justin Haskins, author and editorial director of the Heartland Institute, to get an update on what the world's elites are up to and hear about last week's World Economic Forum conference in Davos, which aimed to "bring together decision-makers from across society to work on projects and initiatives that make a real difference." We discuss Giving to Amplify Earth Action, a partnership between the private sector and government through which elites work together to manage society in a way that they think will be better (and they'll get rich along the way!). How does this affect us, and what are their plans for those of us who won't go along with their ideas and plans? The worst part may not even be that they want to enact all this power over us, but rather that they're so incredibly wrong about all of it. We discuss Al Gore's hysterical comments about climate change and note that rather than continuing to push out incorrect predictions, they also keep adding more extreme, dire

  • Ep 743 | The Deadly Consequences of Self-Worship

    23/01/2023 Duración: 01h10min

Today we're talking about life and death – abortion, euthanasia, and the death penalty. First, we cover some solemn statements from Biden and Kamala Harris on what would have been the 50th anniversary of Roe v. Wade as they offer their condolences that more lives can't be ended by abortion. We talk about just how important it is for Christians to be on the side of life and how Christian doctrine has no room for the pro-choice belief. Then, we look at the ever-increasing normalization of euthanasia, namely in Canada, where soon those who are mentally ill will be able to apply for assisted death. We discuss why this is yet another example of humans thinking they're gods and look into some horrifying stories that show how corrupt this practice already is on the part of the government in Canada. We also talk about Elon Musk's tweet over the weekend in support of access to euthanasia. We take a look at the Supreme Court's ruling in Kennedy v. Louisiana (2008) and explain why some evil just requires the death penal

  • Ep 742 | Welcome to America: Say Gay or Get Out

    19/01/2023 Duración: 54min

Today we're talking about an NHL hockey player, Ivan Provorov, who refused to wear a pride flag jersey for an NHL charity warm-up, citing his Russian Orthodox faith and asking that reporters respect his decision. The NHL is becoming more and more known for promoting the LGBTQ agenda and striving to be "inclusive." We look at the outrage from journalists at Provorov's decision, including one analyst who suggests that Provorov go back to Russia if he doesn't agree with the LGBTQ agenda. We also take a look at this season's fashions trends to see if we approve. Then, we discuss one of the most horrifying stories we've seen: a gay couple's serial sexual abuse and prostitution of their two young adopted sons and how the Christian adoption agency that placed the boys fast-tracked their application despite warning signs. --- Timecodes: (01:50) Hockey player refuses to wear pride jersey (18:14) Seasonal trend review (21:40) Gay couple abuses adopted children --- Today's Sponsors: Dwell — enhance your time in th

    18/01/2023 Duración: 01h05min

Today we're joined by Taylor Dukes, functional medicine nurse practitioner and co-founder of Restore and Revive Wellness Center, to discuss various health topics, medicine, and her story. We discuss her journey into functional medicine and what exactly functional medicine means, with an emphasis on balance between necessary traditional medicine and the philosophy of asking questions and looking into other factors for prevention and cause. We talk about what the medical industry gets wrong and share how to begin cleaning up one's lifestyle and diet and move closer to non-toxic living. Should people care about organic food? And are seed oils really as bad as people say they are? Then, we offer some tips on introducing your kids to healthier lifestyles, and Taylor shares her story of how she found out she had a brain tumor. She explains her journey of finding the Lord's peace in the midst of her diagnosis and the wait to find out what it means for her life. She shares what's next and how her faith in Jesus has g

  • Ep 740 | How Porn Changes the Brain, Kills Intimacy & Harms Society | Guest: Sam Black

    17/01/2023 Duración: 41min

Today we're joined by Sam Black, director of life change education at Covenant Eyes and author of "The Healing Church: What Churches Get Wrong about Pornography and How to Fix It," to discuss the pervasive issue of pornography and its effects on the brain. We talk about how big a problem porn is and why it's an increasingly prevalent issue. Kids are being exposed to porn from younger and younger ages, which leads to serious issues later on in life including addiction, intimacy, and relationships. We cover how people can get stuck in a cycle of watching porn and how there are big consequences: damaged marriages and relationships and ruined sex lives. But there is hope! We share some ways to break the cycle and recover from dependency on porn and some steps to get help (not out of shame, but out of godly guilt). We also talk about how parents can address this issue with their kids and prevent potential serious issues with porn before they start. You can take steps to protect yourself and your family from porn b

  • Ep 739 | Beth Moore, Childhood Obesity Pills & the Gas Stove Ban

    16/01/2023 Duración: 54min

Today we're discussing the American Academy of Pediatrics' new childhood obesity treatment guidelines, which suggest surgery and medications in severe cases of childhood obesity. Of course, we've seen obesity rates skyrocket in the past few years due to lockdowns and school closures, as well as the increasing glorification of obesity in Hollywood and the music industry. We talk about what real solutions might look like, without the insanity of surgeries and pharmaceuticals not intended for children, and why we should be skeptical of these "expert suggestions" in light of what "experts" did during COVID. Then, we look at the Miss Universe pageant, which is owned by a biological male who identifies as female. In last week's competition, he announced that the pageant is run by women and made for women, revealing yet another space for women that has been taken over by men. We also look at some of the crazy costumes from the pageant. We're catching up on the gas stove controversy, covering the Left's original disc

  • Ep 738 | My Response to 'Christian' Pro-Choice Congresswomen | Guest: Ericka Andersen

    12/01/2023 Duración: 46min

Today we're discussing the "Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act," which was passed by the House yesterday. This bill would enforce that babies born alive in attempted abortion procedures receive medical care to help them live or admit them to a hospital. Unsurprisingly, all but one Democrat opposed the bill. We look at some of the debates from the House, namely from Democratic congresswomen who think the bill is extremist. One even claims Scripture as evidence for her pro-choice beliefs. We also look at a referendum the House passed that aims to hold the Biden administration accountable for attacks on pro-life pregnancy centers. Then, we're joined by Ericka Andersen, author of "Reason to Return: Why Women Need the Church and the Church Needs Women," to discuss the need for women in the church and why they should feel urgency to go back. We cover advice for moms and why taking your kids to church is worth prioritizing, as well as how to even find a good church (Ericka's "How to Find a New Church 101"
