God is at work within us to give us power and provide us examples so we can become more like Jesus.

HE GAVE UP HIS DIVINE PRIVILEGES – HE DID IT ALL FOR LOVE! Jesus never quit being God when He came to earth, but He did lay aside His Divine initiative to act as God. Jesus didn’t use raw power to conquer sin like He did when He performed miracles to create the universe or rescue Israel out of Egypt with plagues & wonders. He conquered sin with humility and self-sacrificial love. Weakness became power! Defeat became victory! Death brought us life! He took our sin and penalty upon Himself. It was the only way to overcome sin and death.
