Ready For The Draft Podcast

I finally put a bow on the 2025 podcast series by taking a look at all 32 rosters and identifying which undrafted free agents I feel have a shot at making either the 53-man roster or the practice squad.  Then, I start reviewing which players to start paying attention to for the 2025 college football season in preparation for the upcoming 2026 podcast series.

Part 2 of the NFL Draft Review takes us to the NFC where I break down each pick for all 16 teams, starting on the west coast with the Arizona Cardinals and ending in the east with the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles.  What made the most sense and what surprised me???  

Now that the NFL Draft is in the rear view mirror, it's time to take a look at how the draft unfolded for each of the 32 teams.  We'll start in the AFC, working our way from East to West, stating with the Bills and ending with Los Angeles Chargers.  I'll give you my take on each pick, where I saw the best fit for each team and I just might call out what didn't make sense.  

The draft is finally here and I break down all 32 picks of the 1st Round.  I review who I had in my mock draft and what actually transpired and talked through the fit for each pick.  I then take a look at who is still on the board to prepare everyone for the names to pay attention two in the 2nd and 3rd Rounds on Day 2 of the draft.

Part 2 of my two-day NFL Mock Draft starts with Cincinnati and ends in Philly as I take a look at what each team during the back half of the 1st Round may do with their picks in the first three rounds of the NFL Draft.

I break down my latest Mock Draft with the first 16 picks of the NFL Draft.  However, I don't stop there as I continue to take a look at what I think those teams might do over the first two days of the draft.  We'll start with Tennessee and end with Arizona.

The 2025 NFL Scouting Combine wrapped up with the OL on Day 4.  Top OTs Will Campbell, Armand Membou and Kelvin Banks Jr. all worked out and showcased why they'll all be taken in the first half of Round 1 while Grey Zabel continued to impress with his five-position versatility.

Day 3 of the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine allowed us to take a look at the QBs RBs and WRs.  At the QB position, Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders didn't work out, but that allowed us to see how the likes of Jaxson Dart, Tyler Shough, Jalen Milroe, Will Howard, Dillon Gabriel and Kyle McCord fared.  At the RB position, it looks like Omarion Hampton solidified his status as the draft's No. 2 RB.  And at WR, Matthew Golden's 4.29 40 cemented himself atop the WR group.

Day 2 of the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine is in the books and we take a look at how the CBs, safeties and TEs fared.  Nick Emmanwori put on a show at the Combine, all but solidifying his draft status in the top 32 picks, while Malaki Starks wasn't as impressive in the testing area but was silky smooth in the drills.  Maxwell Hairston blazed a trail with a 4.28 40 which sends his draft stock toward Round 1.  At the TE position, Terrance Ferguson stood out in the 40, but it's clear we have several TEs who could be starters at the next level.

Day One of the NFL Draft Combine is in the books and it's time to take a look at who stood out.  Edge rushers James Pearce Jr. and Shemar Stewart put on a show while DT Derrick Harmon solidified his status as a 1st Round prospect and LB Jihaad Campbell stole the show among LBs.

The pre-draft process is now in full swing and it's time for the Senior Bowl in Mobile, AL.  Jim Nagy and his team did a tremendous job bringing in some of the best draft prospects for the week.  It's time to talk through who made the biggest impact.

The 2025 NFL Draft has 72 underclassmen who officially declared for the NFL Draft.  We take a look at each player one-by-one and break down their early projections for the NFL Draft.

Episode 14 gives a glimpse into the performances of Penn State and Texas in the CFP Semifinals.  The Nittany Lions ultimately go down to Notre Dame.  What impact did top draft prospect Abdul Carter have?  And Texas went down to Ohio State.  We take a look at the likes of Quinn Ewers, Matthew Golden, Kelvin Banks Jr. and how they performed against the Buckeyes.

Episode 13 reviews the draft-eligible prospects of the losing teams in the CFP Quarterfinals - Oregon, Georgia, Boise State and Arizona State.  Oregon ran into a buzzsaw that was Ohio State.  How did Dillon Gabriel, Josh Conerly Jr. and Derrick Harmon fare?  Georgia was upset by Notre Dame.  Were Jalon Walker and Mykel Williams impact players?  Penn State effectively shut down Ashton Jeanty who still managed to rush for 103 yards.  Did that affect his draft stock at all?  And Cam Skattebo put on a performance for the ages by nearly single-handedly taking down the Texas Longhorns.

Episode 12 takes a look at the draft-eligible prospects of the four teams that lost in the 1st Round of the CFP - Tennessee, SMU, Indiana and Clemson.  SMU struggled to handle Penn State, but Brashard Smith and Elijah Roberts stood out.  Indiana's Kurtis Rourke struggled with Notre Dame.  Clemson's defense showcased Barrett Carter and RJ Mickens.  And was Dylan Sampson able to make an impact against Ohio State? 

After battling being sick since the holidays, I'm finally back to preview the CFP National Championship and talk about which draft-eligible prospects will make an impact.  When Ohio State has the ball, RBs TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins could be the difference with their physicality between the tackles and their ability to make an impact in the passing game.  While Jeremiah Smith looks like a future top-5 pick, keep an eye on Emeka Egbuka to do damage from the slot, attacking the middle of the field and outside the numbers putting on a show with his route running prowess.  Donovan Jackson may be a OG at the next level, but his move to OT shows off his athleticism and he's primed to be a Day 2 pick.  He'll be matched up against RJ Oben who should finally be healthy and could be a problem off the edge while DT Howard Cross III has to show he's gained the step he lost from his injury to provide disruption along the interior.  Xavier Watts is a problem over the top with his ball skills and instincts as a

The first ever 12-team College Football Playoff kicks off and the 1st Round matchups are intriguing.  # 7 Notre Dame takes on # 10 Indiana on Friday December 20th.  Riley Leonard vs. Kurtis Rourke.  Can Indiana play from ahead?  Or will the disciplined Irish wear down the Hoosiers?  We'll then see # 6 Penn State take on # 11 SMU.  Will 1st Round hopeful Tyler Warren be the difference maker on offense for the Nittany Lions?  Can SMU edge rusher Elijah Roberts put pressure on Drew Allar?  Can Mustangs QB Kevin Jennings Jr. make enough plays?  Brashard Smith is intriguing as well with his versatility.  But will PSU's defense, led by probable top-five pick Abdul Carter, prove to be too much?  # 12 Clemson travels to Austin to take on # 5 Texas.  Quinn Ewers needs to be consistent, but will that OL dominate up front?  Expect a good matchup between Kelvin Banks Jr. and Cameron Williams vs. TJ Parker and Peter Woods up front.  Can Clemson make enough plays to take down the Longhorns?  Finally, # 9 Tennessee heads to

Following an exciting 2024 College Football regular season + the conference championships, we finally have our top four seeds for the College Football Playoff.  Oregon, the lone undefeated team, is led by Heisman finalist Dillon Gabriel, who has a shot at being a Day 2 pick. Tez Johnson and Terrance Ferguson are his top weapons while Josh Conerly Jr. and Ajani Cornelius should expect to hear their names called during the first half of the draft.  Defensively, expect 1st Round hopeful Derrick Harmon to wreak havoc up front.  After an up-and-down season, Georgia is your SEC Champoin and the No. 2 seed.  Carson Beck was once seen as the top QB prospect but his stock has taken a big hit.  Trevor Etienne and Jared Wilson should play a big part offensively.  On defense, Mykel Williams, Malaki Starks and Jalon Walker should all hear their names called in the top 20.  Boise State is your 3 seed, led by Heisman runner-up Ashton Jeanty.  Jeanty is a complete back and could be a top-10 pick.  Will Dallas call his name i

Week 5 saw Bama jump out to a big lead on Georgia then fight to hang on for the win.  Penn State, Oregon, Notre Dame and USC all put up wins as well.  Week 6 brought home the fireworks with a number of upsets as Vandy took down Alabama, Arkansas beat Tennessee and Michigan went down to UW.  I break down who stood out during the past two weeks in College Football.
