Disturbia was number one at the box office again by default, while two other thrillers, Fracture and Vacancy had disappointing openings. Also opening were Hot Fuzz and In the Land of Women. Next week Next should dominate among new releases, including Condemned, The Invisible and Kickin' It Old Skool.

Disturbia emerged as the clear winner among six new wide releases this weekend. The other openers, Perfect Stranger, Pathfinder, Redline, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Slow Burn failed to find much of an audience. Also, 300 passed the $200 million mark, Wild Hogs continues to do well and Grindhouse dropped hard in its second weekend. Next weeked two thrillers, Fracture and Vacancy, go head-to-head and Hot Fuzz and In the Land of Women also open.

Grindhouse disappointed at the box office with only $11.6 million while Blades of Glory and Meet the Robinsons stayed at the top of the charts. Also opening were Are We Done Yet?, The Reaping, Firehouse Dog and The Hoax. Next week at least six new movies enter wide release.

Blades of Glory takes the weekend gold while Meet the Robinsons earns a respectable silver. Also opening this weekend was The Lookout plus a look at next weekend's openings over the Easter Holiday, including Are We Done Yet?, Firehouse Dog, The Reaping, Grindhouse and The Hoax.

TMNT tops the box office this weekend. Shooter, The Last Mimzy, The Hills Have Eyes 2, Reign Over Me and Pride also open, plus a look at next weekend's releases.

300 held the top spot and Wild Hogs continued to perform well. Premonition with Sandra Bullock was the strongest of the new releases, opening against Dead Silence and Chris Rock in I Think I Love My Wife. Next week six new movies hit theaters including TMNT and Shooter.

300 opens to a record $70.9 million while Wild Hogs holds up strong at the box office. Plus, a look at next weeks releases including Dead Silence, I Think I Love My Wife and Premonition.

Ghost Rider tops the box office again, while The Number 23, Reno 911!: Miami, The Astronaut Farmer and others open -- plus, a look at the Academy Award ceremony and next week's releases.

Ghost Rider set a President's Day weekend record while Bridge to Terabithia also exceeded expectations. Music and Lyrics, Daddy's Little Girls and Breach also opened, plus a look at next week's releases and the Academy Awards on Sunday.

Eddie Murphy tops the box office this weekend with Norbit while Hannibal Rising opens in second place, plus a look at the upcoming week's releases including Music and Lyrics and Daddy's Little Girls and Valentine's Day as well as Ghost Rider, Breach and Bridge to Terabithia on Friday.

The Messengers and Because I Said So open against the Super Bowl, plus a look at the Super Bowl movie ads and the continuing Oscar season. Next weekend Hannibal Rising and Norbit open.

Epic Movie, Smokin' Aces, Catch and Release and Blood and Chocolate open this weekend, plus a look the Academy Award nominations and the Oscar box office effect. In addition, next weekend two movies dare to open against the Super Bowl.

Stomp the Yard and Night at the Museum topped the box office, while The Hitcher opened in fourth place. Also, a look at various Academy Award contenders and movies opening next week.

Stomp the Yard takes the lead at the box office, outranking Night at the Museum. Alpha Dog, Primeval and Arthur and the Invisibles open modestly.

This special edition year-in-review show covers overall box office for 2006, which was up over 4% from 2005 with $9.2 billion in revenue, plus a look at the top grossing movies including Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. Brandon Gray also names the most impressive box office performances of the year and the most disappointing.

The Pursuit of Happyness impresses in first place, while Eragon and Charlotte's Web fill out the top three. Dreamgirls also opens in limited release plus a look at next week's Christmas releases including Rocky Balboa, Night at the Museum, We Are Marshall, The Good Shepherd and Black Christmas.

Apocalypto, The Holiday, Blood Diamond and Unaccompanied Minors open, while overall business was down significantly over last year, plus a look at next week's releases: Charlotte's Web, Eragon and The Pursuit of Happyness.

Happy Feet and Casino Royale top the box office for the third week in a row, while The Nativity Story opens in fourth place. Turstias and Van Wilder: The Rise of Taj also open, plus a look at four wide releases next weekend, including Blood Diamond and The Holiday.
