Sinopsis

Brooke Shields is an American actress who, as a teenager, was the most successful model in the world. When she was five days old, her mother Teri stated she wanted Brooke to be active in show business. Shields began her modeling career at the age of 11 months. Her first modeling job was for Ivory Soap, shot by famed photographer Francesco Scavullo, and she continued as a successful child model with agent Eileen Ford. When Brooke Shields was 12 years old, she played a child prostitute in the 1978 film "Pretty Baby" which caused an international sensation. In early 1980, the 14-year-old Shields was the youngest fashion model ever to appear on the cover of the top fashion publication, Vogue magazine. Later that same year, Shields appeared in the controversial print and TV ads for Calvin Klein jeans. The TV ad included her saying the famous tagline, "You want to know what comes between me and my Calvins? Nothing." The Brooke Shields ads would help catapult Calvin Kleins career to super-designer status. By the age of 16, Shields had become one of the most recognizable faces in the world. In 1982, adored by the international media, she landed on the cover of more than 30 magazines in that year alone, including the covers of Time, People and Life magazines as "America's Million Dollar Baby." Brooke Shields, as a 17-year-old high school junior, participated in the 1982 Achievement Summit in New Orleans (accompanied by her mother Teri), and spoke to the student delegates about her experiences in the entertainment industry and her desire to lead a normal life and attend college. The following year, Shields moved into the dorms of Princeton University to pursue her degree in French literature, and graduated from there in June of 1987.
