Corinthians | 1 Corinthians 9: 1-18 | Dods Pengra | 7-1-2018
03/07/2018 Duración: 35minWe are continuing our sermon series through Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians. The city of Corinth was a Roman colony in Greece. It was a lively, global city, a center for thought and creativity, comprised of diverse peoples and cultures. Most of the early Christian converts in Corinth were non-Jews, former pagans and polytheists. Thus, Paul’s message to the Church in Corinth was a radical departure from the status quo: Through the counter intuitive victory of the crucified Christ, the world is being swept up into the grand, redemptive movement of the one true God of Israel. And this changes everything!

Easter Sunday | Mark 16:1-8 | Brandon Barker | 4-1-2018
02/04/2018 Duración: 23minFor Holy Week this year, we are studying select passages from the Gospel of Mark. As Mark’s Gospel opens, the people of God are being ruled and occupied by the Romans. Israel is under house arrest, and God is silent. Where was His promised kingdom? In the person and work of Jesus Christ, we see God’s kingdom come. However, Jesus does not come as expected. He does not come with chariots and trumpets; He comes humbly and quietly. He does not defeat the Romans in battle; He is crucified to defeat an Enemy even more sinister. But make no mistake; He is the King.

This is He | 2 Samuel 22:1-23:7 | Carlos Reboller | 3-18-2018
24/03/2018 Duración: 32minThis sermon, from church planter Carlos Reboller, concludes our sermon series through 1 & 2 Samuel, which tells the story of the rise and reign of King David. However, we’re reading this through the lens of the life and ministry of Jesus. We’re exploring how the Bible invites us to see Jesus Christ as the subject of ancient prophecy and the fulfillment of God’s promises to His people. We’ve titled our series “This is He,” which is a quote from 1 Samuel 16. Samuel is searching for a new King to anoint, and when he finds David, God says, “This is he.” Then, hundreds of years later, John the Baptist is searching for a new King to anoint, and Jesus comes to him to be baptized. And what does God say? “This is He.” “This is my beloved Son.”
