  • Lion of Vienna Suite - LOVpod Episode 36

    16/11/2015 Duración: 01h21min

On Episode 36 of the LOVpod Chris returns and steps in as host, with Rob reuced back to mere tech wiz Rob. They are both joined by Liam and new boy to the site and the show, Jonny Eckersley.  First port of call for the boys, well after Chris' very strange intro, was an in-depth look into Lion of Vienna Suite's world exclusive story on the possible Dean Holdsworth-led takeover of Bolton Wanderers. The lads cover all the details of the potentia deal and offer their own opinions. They then look ahead to next weekend's visit to Reading, before reviewing the latest Wanderers news - including a possible new loan signing and rumours around Kevin Davies' testimonial. Proceedings are brought to a close by a very shady game of Guess Who?, before the boys look back at your responses to this week's Twitter question. • Lion of Vienna Suite - LOVpod Episode 35

    09/11/2015 Duración: 54min

This week Rob takes on the mantle of host in the absence of Chris, and the role of tech wiz in the absence of Dan. He is joined by Tom Molloy and Jamie to run the rule over Saturday's 0-0 draw with fellow strugglers Bristol City. The boys then move on to analyse where it's all going wrong for Bolton Wanderers, and whether Neil Lennon is to blame for it. They then take a look at the world of news from Bolton, including some bizarre news out of the Basque region of Spain via The Daily Telegraph, and round things off with another brief game of Guess Who? and this week's Twitter question. A word of warning that this episode is also knitted together by some special musical intros - because Dan couldn't find our regular intros - so apologies in advance for the weird music... • Lion of Vienna Suite - LOVpod Episode 34

    01/11/2015 Duración: 59min

The lads are back for another episode of Bolton Wanderers chat, though you may want to get the anti-depressants out for this weeks show. Chris returns to host and is reunited with Dan, with DowntheMannyRd Tom joining in for good measure. They kicked off the show with a depressingly detailed analysis of the Whites' turgid 0-0 draw with Preston North End, which was broadcasted for the entire world to see. Ever player's performance was assessed, with not many coming away with any sort of praise. Rants were also to be had on the lack of a red card. In the second segment the lads discussed all the happenings in the weird world of Wanderers over the past week. With the signing of Luke Brattan, the link to Real Madrid's Martin Odegaard and the news that Emile Heskey may be retiring from football to take up a coaching role all being debated. The third segment saw two previews for this weeks matches, away to Ipswich Town and at home to Bristol City, and what would happen if we lost both fixtures. Then the show wa

  • Lion of Vienna Suite - LOVpod Episode 33

    26/10/2015 Duración: 01h12min

The Lion of Vienna Podcast is back along with it's long lost son. Yep, Dan returns this week in what feels like as an eternity, and in great time too, as he has to take over hosting responsibilities with Chris other wise engaged. Dan was joined by Liam and new debutant Jamie Moss. The show got underway in classic fashion, talking about a Bolton Wanderers defeat, as the 1-0 loss to Birmingham was briefly touched upon. Then affairs were swiftly moved on to the more recent game, a 1-1 draw with Leeds United. The lads analysed the game in great detail, despite only one of them actually being there, leading to some insightful discussion. Next up was a round up of the news in Wanderers world, as trio discussed: the signing of Shola Ameobi, Wellington Silva' injury lay off, Liam Trotter being loaned out and scoring, Haydn White scoring his first senior goal and former White Chris Eagles joining Bury. The third segment saw a preview of Saturday's must win relegation battle against Preston North End, accompanied

  • Lion of Vienna Suite - LOVpod Episode 32

    19/10/2015 Duración: 52min

This week's episode of the Lion of Vienna Podcast maybe a bit shorter, but it's still just as packed with Bolton Wanderers chat as Chris is joined, once again, by Rob and the returning DownTheMannyRd Tom. The pod gets underway with a discussion on yet another defeat, as the Whites fell to a 2-0 loss against Burnley. Then came a preview of Tuesday night's game against Birmingham City, with a brief chat about the Leeds United match next Saturday. With manager Neil Lennon now being at the club a year, the lads celebrated his first anniversary by assesing how he's done so far and what the futrue holds. Finally, there was a brief round up of news as it seems Zach Clough is set to sign a new long-term contract and the search for that elusive striker continues. All before the show is seen out with a game of guess who. Listen on iTunes or BlogTalkRadio. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

  • Lion of Vienna Suite - LOVpod Episode 31

    12/10/2015 Duración: 01h15min

Despite a very boring international break, the lads still power through to bring you over an hour of Bolton Wanderers chat. This week Chris is joined by tech wiz Rob and a duo of Liams, LOVpod regular Liam O'Meara and debutant Liam Hatton, founder of fellow Wanderers site Trotters Blog. Despite some initial recording difficulties - we'll blame the software, rather than the supposed tech wiz - the boys preview Saturday's fixture at Burnley, then take a look back at the latest striker transfer updates as the search for a new one continues. Neil Lennon's comments following the QPR match, which have landed him in hot water with The FA, were also on the agenda. With a lack of anything else to discuss, a special feature was introduced this week, as the cast run through their all-time Bolton XI, before rounding off events with a game of Guess Who and this week's Twitter question. • Lion of Vienna Suite - LOVpod Episode 30

    05/10/2015 Duración: 01h08min

On LOVpod Episode 30, Chris is joined by tech wiz Rob and the man behind Talk Trotters, Alastair, who comes in for his second appearance on the show. This weeks pod is very Southern centric, which means we actually had real life witnesses to Saturday's defeat. The boys drill down into Bolton Wanderers' 4-3 defeat at Queens Park Rangers, directing Neil Lennon's team selection as Darren Pratley and Dorian Dervite both returned to injury. Francesco Pisano's half time departure, Ben Amos' dip in form and the pair of Gary Madine and Liam Feeney actually, against all the odds, finding some form in front of goal. Oh, and the fact we lost to a last minute goal. That's all before discussing the Whites rumoured transfer targets, including Adam Hamill, Michael Tonge and Shola Ameobi, another possible takeover bid and the state of ticket prices in the English game, as Rob describes his experience as he tried to support the Twenty's Plenty campaign ran by the FSF.  Proceedings are brought to a close with a game of Gues

Sir Chris Manning returns as host this week, and he is joined by Dan, Tom and Elliot as they discuss what has been a rather depressing week in the world of Bolton Wanderers. First port of call was to briefly discuss the Whites slumping out of the Captial One Cup to Burton Albion, although there was much sadder stuff to come. Next up in segment one, the dissection of our embarrassing defeat to Middlesbroughwas talked about in great detail. In segment two it was the thing you've all been waiting for. Tim Ream is leaving for Fulham, and a certain member of the podcast isn't taking it well. He expressed his deep sadness in a rather beautiful, unexpected way. The rest of the lads spoke a lot of sense with their feelings of the move. Then the players coming in on the Ream money were discussed, as the group detailed their excitement at the potential of Francesco Pisano and Arsenal's Wellington Silva. The past of new trialist, Courtney Meppem-Walter, was debated over and the segment concluded with a discussion on t
