We are to be filled with the Word of Christ (the Holy Scriptures) as we worship the Lord in singing so that we may not only honor and glorify Him but edify one another. This is not a suggestion; it is a Divine imperative. Our singing first and foremost is to the glory of God but also teaching and admonishing each other whether it be by a psalm, a hymn, or a spiritual song.

The Christian lifestyle is one of putting off old sinful practices and habits and replacing them with Christian virtues. This is the constant struggle of each child of grace as long as he lives in this world. This too is living by faith.

Today we are continuing our study concerning some of the names of God from the Old Testament. Today we will consider God as El Shaddai, God Almighty.

Those who live a life of sin shall received the wrath of God. Though Christians once lived in sins and deserved the wrath of God, thankfully we received mercy from the Lord. Equally, we are not to continue in sinful practices. If professing Christians practiced putting off sinful habits there would be no divisions in Christianity.

Mortification of sin is not removing the sin-nature. We will continue to have this sinful nature as long as we live in this sinful body. When sin appears we are not to dwell on it or allow the members of our body to engage in the practice of it.

Today we are continuing our study regarding some of the names of God from the Old Testament. Today we will consider God as Adonai.

This is the beginning of a study of some of the names of God from the Old Testament. By the help of the Lord it is our desire to not only honor God, but to stir up your pure mind and to provide some Divine consolations regarding Him.

Jesus Christ was not a phantom nor "cunningly devised fables"; He was an historical reality. Likewise, His second coming will be an historical fact. He is coming again. He is coming in glory. Equally, we will appear with Him in glory. This is history in prophecy.

Life is a struggle. We live in this world of sin, sorrow, sickness, and labor to provide for the essentials of life. Nevertheless, we must not allow these things to rob us of the rich fellowship and communion of Christ. Paul exhorts us to set our affections on Christ rather than the things of the earth. After all, the life of the Christian is Christ.

Jesus Christ did not make redemption possible; He redeemed His people-the elect of God. He finished the work and entered into heaven and is now seated at the right hand of God making intercession for the people of God. The believer is to set his affections on these things where Christ is seated and not to set his affections on the things of the earth.

Since we are judicially dead to sin and are complete in Christ, we are to strive to set our affections on things above where Christ is seated on the right hand of the Father.

Not only have the rules and regulations of the Old Testament laws under Israel been done away and were only shadows and types of the mystery of godliness of the New Testament, but also we are not to be enslaved to the regulations and statues of fellow believers. We are to serve the Lord with all fulness by devoting all our attention to the honor and glory of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Christ Jesus did all that is needed for our justification and He redeemed His people so that all trespasses are forgiven and the handwriting of ordinances against us was blotted out. Everything the enemies of Christ threw at Him to hinder Him was in vain because the made triumphed over all principalities and powers.

Circumcision without hands is simply regeneration or the new birth. Baptism is a picture of salvation as performed in the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. Baptism is a profession of the faith of the believer and that he was in the death of Christ and judicially identified in Him.

This podcast is an attempt to encourage the Baptist of our day to understand and know their rich heritage and that they are neither Catholic nor Protestant.

The Christian is complete in Christ and needs nothing else for his salvation. We are fully justified, faultless, blameless, unreproveable and all other essentials in Christ. We live in a world filled with psychology and therapists striving to sort out why people are empty, void of purpose, and looking for satisfaction in life. The truth is one is only complete in Christ. If a person is not complete in Christ he will never find fulfillment in anyone else or in anything.
