Who Goes There Podcast: Ep182 – HELL HOUSE LLC: THE ABADDON HOTEL & HOUSEWIFE
03/10/2018 Duración: 01h12minIt’s finally October! Let’s be honest. Most of us get a little bit excited when the calendar flips over to October; leaves changing, Halloween decorations, pumpkin spice everything, and a shit ton of horror movies on T.V.! For us here at the Who Goes There Podcast, October also means the Telluride Horror Show! We’re starting October off the right way with a Telluride double feature! First we’re kicking things off with Housewife (review starts at 14:00). Housewife screened at Telluride Horror show in 2017 and is the second film from Baskin director Can Evrenol. Next we’re diving in to Hell House LLC 2: The Abaddon Hotel. (Review starts at 40:00) While HHLLC2 didn’t screen at the festival, it is the sequel to the original Hell House LLC which screened in 2015. This is life’s ultimate cruelty. It offers us a taste of youth and vitality, and then it makes us witness our own decay. Who Goes There Podcast: Ep 181 – THE PREDATOR & MANDY
25/09/2018 Duración: 01h23minOver this last week the horror community has been talking about two things: The Predator, and Mandy. Well, consider yourself lucky; because we’re going to talk about both! This week the gang’s all here and we’re getting right down to the nitty gritty with a double feature! First, we’ll talk about the blood soaked, acid trip of a second film from Beyond the Black Rainbow director Panos Comatos, Mandy (Review starts at 7:10). Then, as everyone knows, when you’re high you’ve got to come down, and Shane Black’s Predator is a come down, trust. (Review starts at 32:26) The outside world doesn’t want to hear this kind of bullshit. Just keep it locked away. You’ve already managed that for two thousand years. Who Goes There Podcast: Ep180 – THE NUN
18/09/2018 Duración: 01h14minOur relationship with AMC’s A-List is not off to a great start. Thus far we’ve sat through Slenderman, Happytime Murders, and now we’ve had to overcome the 100 minute long jump scare known as The Nun. On the bright side, the card does sort of make me feel like at least I’m not paying to see these movies. If you happen to be a fan of the episodes where we get really angry, you’ll be pretty happy over the next couple of weeks. Do you know how many people are together right now making love this very second? I’ll bet they’re also listening to the Who Goes There Podcast episode 180! Who Goes There Podcast: Ep 178 – RUIN ME
05/09/2018 Duración: 01h06minSeptember is finally here. Across the country kids are heading back to school, it’s still ninety degrees in Southern California, and fall is just around the corner. Right now is the perfect time to go camping before it gets too cold to sleep outside. And if you’re going to go camping, why not pay a bunch of ex cons to chase you through the woods with pointy objects? Surely nothing could go wrong, right? This week we take a look at the 2018 Shudder exclusive, Ruin Me. (Spoiler free review starts at 28:18, spoilers start at 39:30) Did ye make some unholy bond with that goat? I did. Who Goes There Podcast: Ep 177 – PUPPET MASTER: THE LITTLEST REICH
28/08/2018 Duración: 01h39minIn 1989, a group of adorably murderous puppets were set upon the unsuspecting masses by Charles Band and Full Moon entertainment. Despite being under two feet tall and being fuckin puppets, no one has quite figured out how to dispose of the mischievous marionettes, allowing them to have quite a few adventures over the last 30 years. After six years of hiding in the shadows, the puppets are back, and surprise, they’re nazis! Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich (review starts at 33:35) is the newest installment in the saga of everyone’s favorite psychotic, stringed assassins. If a movie about nazi puppets isn’t crazy enough for you, you’re in luck! This week we’re joined by friend of the show Carlos “Warm Babies” Bielma! Later, things get really silly as Dread Central’s own editor in chief Jonathan Barkan joins in the discussion. Ah, face mutilated with a meat tenderizer, throat slit, and this one had her ass beat in. It’s the Who Goes There Podcast episode 177! If you enjoy the show, please consider joining

Who Goes There Podcast: Ep 176 – SLENDER MAN
21/08/2018 Duración: 01h09minAhoy there, fuckos! We’re back with another rip roaring, humdinger episode of the Who Goes There Podcast! But first we need to go over some background information to bring you up to speed on the Slender Man. In 2009, an internet forum user named Eric Knudsen (also known as “Victor Surge”) created and unleashed the Slender Man upon the masses. Depicted as a thin, unnaturally tall humanoid with a featureless head and face and wearing a black suit, stories of the Slender Man commonly feature him appearing throughout history to stalk, abduct or traumatize people, particularly children. In 2012 a video game entitled Slender: The Eight Pages was released and scared the piss out of a new group of unsuspecting cowards; and in 2014 art and reality came crashing together as two twelve year old girls stabbed a classmate 19 times in an attempt to join Slender Man’s cult. Now, in 2018 we have Slender Man, a movie no one wanted, released more than five years after it’s titular character was most relevant (review starts a

Who Goes There Podcast: Ep 175 – AMERICAN GUINEA PIG: THE SONG OF SOLOMON
13/08/2018 Duración: 59minWhen we first started the Who Goes There Podcast in May 2013, I wanted to inform people of the most vile, grotesque, nigh unwatchable horror films I could find. My goal was to bring the movies that I loved to the attention of an audience who otherwise may not know they exist. Upon the list of films I used to describe my vision, was the Japanese Guinea Pig films; a collection of films so gory, so extreme and unflinching in their portrayal of violence and viscera, actor Charlie Sheen once called the FBI to report the films as actual snuff! Today is a good day, my friends. Today, we review the third installment of the American counterpart to the original six films. Today, we discuss American Guinea Pig: The Song of Solomon, written and directed by Stephen Biro (review starts at 24:24). As the Catholic Church tries to save an innocent soul from the ravages of satanic possession, wave after wave of holy men are sent to confront the possessed. Featuring real rituals of exorcism, taken from De Exorcismus Et Supplic

Who Goes There Podcast: Ep 174 – GHOST STORIES
07/08/2018 Duración: 01h31minRejoice, you plebs! For today is the anniversary of the day the world was gifted with…ME! That’s right, it’s my birthday! So you know what that means? It means the episode is late. Ha! This week we’re discussing 2018’s Ghost Stories, in which Arch skeptic Professor Phillip Goodman embarks upon a terror-filled quest when he stumbles across a long-lost file containing details of three cases of inexplicable ‘hauntings’. Review starts at 32:35. We’ve been looking forward to reviewing this for quite some time. For a few months now, the movie has only been available on demand, and only on certain cable providers. Now it has finally been released to the rest of us. It kind of felt like getting to watch the dog eat before you, because “the dog didn’t forget to put gas in the car.” I digress. Aw man! Who Goes There Podcast: Ep 173 – UNFRIENDED: DARK WEB
30/07/2018 Duración: 01h39minQue onda wey?! It’s time for another episode of the Who Goes There Podcast, and we know you’ve got the warm and fuzzies down in your cold and prickly. San Diego Comic Con has officially come and gone and we’re running down all of the horror news from the con that we could be bothered to give a shit about. If breathing in the funk of unbrushed geek teeth wasn’t enough to get you all sopping wet this week also saw the release of Unfriended: Dark Web and you’d better believe we’re about to have our way with it. If you are a fan of heated conversations, flared tempers and all hell breaking loose, merry fuckin’ Christmas! Lady, nothing surprises me anymore. Who Goes There Podcast: Ep 172 – THE BLOB (1988)
23/07/2018 Duración: 01h04minHear, ye! Hear, ye! By royal proclamation, King Sam has sacrificed his monthly movie pick, so that the foul mouthed female of the Who Goes There Podcast can have her first ever staff pick! Alia definitely wasn’t fucking around and came in with guns blazing with her pick of 1988’s The Blob! The Blob has been consistently been suggested for review by our Patreon subscribers for as long as we’ve been taking Patreon suggestions. Alia did not take them into consideration what-so-ever, and picked this film for her own selfish reasons; this is why I love her. Is it from outer space? Is it made by the military? Maybe it’s something coughed up after a night of mixing Pepto Bismol with boxed wine. Tune in and find out! Oh, I expect by now he’s just finishin’ up with her. We’ll just wait here till he gets back. We can listen to the Who Goes There Podcast episode 172! If you enjoy the show, please consider joining our Patreon subscribers. All year long, kids wait in antici…pation for their summer vacation full of video games and sleeping in. All across the country, we rejoice at the extra couple hours of sunlight by hitting the beach and spending time with friends. Summer is a magical time, when it feels like nothing can go wrong; and then there’s another Purge movie. So, here it is. Here’s The First Purge. Who do you think they are, Neiman Marcus? Who Goes There Podcast: Ep 170 – ANOTHER WOLFCOP
07/07/2018 Duración: 01h06minI am going to go out on a limb and say, I don’t think that Canada gets the credit it so rightly deserves. In addition to serving as a neat hat for the United States, Canada has given us some incredible gifts in the form of political-punk butt-rockers Propagandhi, former WWF women’s champion and current M.I.L.F. Trish Stratus, and fuckin peanut butter! One of the more recent gifts given by our neighbors to the north comes in the form of Wolfcop and the newly released sequel Another Wolfcop. Another Wolfcop is the continued story of Lou Garou, a deadbeat cop with a severe drinking problem, a massive dong and a love for tatty-bojangles. Oh, right. Lou is also a werewolf. Ride along as Lou teams up with partner Tina and lovable idiot Willie to save their small town from unspeakable evils, and maybe have a beer or two. Hello… Hello… I’ve got a message for you… and you’re not going to like it. It’s the Who Goes There Podcast episode 170! If you enjoy the show, please consider joining our Patreon subscribers. F

Who Goes There Podcast: Ep 169 – THE ENDLESS
01/07/2018 Duración: 01h14minTwenty-one years ago, residents of San Diego, California were shocked to learn that not only did a U.F.O. death cult live in our fair city, but all 39 members of the cult had just commit mass suicide in a mansion right in the heart of town. As San Diego and the rest of the country watched, fascinated as the events of the “largest mass suicide in United States history” unfolded, so to did my infatuation with cults. This week on the Who Goes There Podcast, we’re joined by Alia and Rhett to discuss 2017’s The Endless. Written and directed by the team behind Spring and Resolution, The Endless is about two brothers who return to the cult they fled from years ago. Only to discover that the group’s beliefs may be more sane than they once thought. Please, you listen. I keep seeing these people, all recognizing each other. Something is passing between them all, some secret. It’s a conspiracy, I know it. It’s the Who Goes There Podcast episode 169! If you enjoy the show, please consider joining our Patreon subscri

Who Goes There Podcast: Ep 168 – PYEWACKET
25/06/2018 Duración: 01h09minI am constantly hearing people say, “I wish I could go back to high school; everything was so great back then.” The truth is, high school was a really shit time! In high school your hormones are out of whack, you hate everyone and everything, especially your parents, you want so bad to fit in, but you decided to take band, and you keep getting awkward boners, and Mr. Bowles makes you play your solo in front of the class. Fuck you, Mr. Bowles! If only we all had the foresight to play around with black magic and could summoned imps to help us with our day to day lives. Enter Pyewacket, a film about a teenage girl who summons an imp to help improve her relationship with her mother. If teenage witches aren’t your bag, perhaps you’ll enjoy Matt’s story about the time he caused “a volcanic eruption of blood”, or how you can spot a witch using just a bowl of fruit! Ew, Jerry you distgusting freak, get away from me with all that stuff. What I want is the Who Goes There Podcast episode 168! If you enjoy the show,

16/06/2018 Duración: 01h13minAhoy there, fuckers! Five years ago today we posted the first ever episode of the Who Goes There Podcast; what a ride it’s been. This week, we thought we’d do something a little special, so we’re releasing a double episode! Well, it’s actually more like an episode and a half. First, King Sam has decreed that we discuss Peter Jackson’s Bad Taste! After we discuss extra-terrestrial anus we dive in to the movie that has all of the interwebs abuzz, Hereditary. To celebrate our anniversary, we’re joined by the lovely Ms. Alia, and Jorge’s buddy Rhett as we recap the major news out of E3, have some drinks and act like idiots, duh. Who Goes There Podcast: Ep 166 – AMONG THE LIVING
05/06/2018 Duración: 01h02minIn the early 2000’s horror fans were blessed with a bevy of bleak, bloody, and bad ass horror films from the land of the baguette. The French Extreme movement brought us modern classics such as Martyrs, Inside, and Frontier(s), then laid in wait until American audiences began to feel safe, before once again dumping buckets of blood onto all of the precious snowflakes. This week, we take a look at Among the Living (26:00); the latest French delicacy from the team behind Inside and Livid. In the event that our carefully crafted cinematic critiques weren’t enough for you, we’ve jam packed this episode full of extra goodies! We’ll run down the big updates for Friday the 13th: The Game and Dead By Daylight, as well as our initial thoughts on the long awaited Agony. If you prefer a bit of realism in your dread, we also take a look at two new true crimes documentaries on Netflix. Don’t say we never gave ya nothin. Who Goes There Podcast: Ep 165 – ANONYMOUS 616
30/05/2018 Duración: 01h36minAuthor of Calvin and Hobbes, Bill Watterson once said, “You can’t just turn on creativity like a faucet. You have to be in the right mood. What mood is that? Last-minute panic.” We completely agree, Bill. For this reason, we chose to wait until the last minute to choose this week’s movie, and boy did it get our creative juices flowing! This week, we’re going on a trip with 2018’s Anonymous 616. A group of 4 friends take DMT and one begins to think he’s God; I personally do not see any way that this can go wrong. In addition to our delicately crafted critiques of modern cinema, Jorge brings you some disturbing dental stories (3:33), and Matt explains one of his greatest fears! We also talk about exactly why we would want to own the stunt cock used in A Serbian Film (23:14). Break/review starts at 40:32. Hey! Hey, doll face. How about those Mets? Who Goes There Podcast: Ep 164 – THE CLEANSE
24/05/2018 Duración: 52minWait no longer, boils and ghouls! Today is the day you’ve been waiting for; today is the day we sink our teeth into 2018’s The Cleanse! What’s that? You’ve never heard of The Cleanse?! Well, neither had we, but horror releases are slim pickings right now, so we take what we can get. At least we can all agree that we’ve been dying to see Johnny Galecki in something other than Big Bang Theory, right? No? Well, fuck. Here’s an episode about his new movie anyway. What are we even doing? It was crazy of me to think I could help the police, but I’m going to keep researching, keep writing, there are stories that need to be told, so… here’s the Who Goes There Podcast episode 164!
