With all that is going on in not only the world, but our own backyard, it seems inappropriate to be celebrating anything. Well, we reached a pretty important milestone here at the Who Goes There Podcast. Today is 7 years to the day since we posted our very first episode. So in honor of such a big event we brought back our biggest (literally) guest to date. That's right! The haomie Baron Corbin is back to give us his "kingly" take on all things horror! Well, here it is. It may have taken us two weeks, cost us our sanity, tested our friendship, and killed three of Jorge's cousins, but damnit, we have a new episode! Follow me, as I reminisce about a time long ago known as 1993. I was ten years old, in fourth grade, and really wanted to wear my clothes backwards like Kris Kross. MTV had a show called the "Top 20 Video Countdown" and everyday for months the top spot came down to a battle between Collective Soul's "Shine" and a video of a hairy, shirtless man, yelling about children walking on his lawn. That second video, was my introduction to Glenn Danzig. In 2010, Dread Central and a few other horror sites joined together to stream Pig, the new movie from director Adam Mason. The film was only streamed for a limited time, and if you missed it, too bad. Pig was never officially released, and despite a few over-priced bootlegs popping up at conventions, Pig had essentially vanished. Vanished that is, until 2017. In 2017 director Adam Mason announced that Pig would screen at SXSW for two nights, and then never again; this would be the only public screening of the film. When asked why the film was never released Adam Mason has said everything from he hates the film, to wanting to create that “holy grail” film. More often than not, the remake fails to capture what audiences loved about the source material.
