Almost thirty years to the day since a number 10 from Stafford scored a winning goal for Forest at Old Trafford, history pretty much repeated itself. It was a little nerve-wracking at times but in truth Forest were really good value for the win, which lifted them to fifth place in the Premier League table. Steven Toplis and Tom Newton report on a great day for Forest fans, in which goals from Milenković, Gibbs-White and a record-setting finish from Chris Wood saw the Reds take the points. Like the Arsenal match, Forest were well-beaten in this one, but unlike that game, it could have felt a bit different if Forest had taken their chances at some crucial moments. Alas, it was not to be, and don't be fooled by Man City's recent form - with de Bruyne in the team they are still very much part of the Premier League elite. Rich is joined by Adam for a report from behind enemy lines, as goals from Bernardo Silva, de Bruyne and Doku settled this encounter and the Reds were tactically sewn up by Pep. A much needed victory for the Reds after two heavy defeats, with Chris Wood's penalty making the difference. Ipswich were good value and it took a first half clearance off the line by Ola Aina to preserve the clean sheet. However, once Forest were in the lead they were probably the better team, despite the away side's late efforts. Our match report is brought to you by Baz and Tom. A really disappointing result as the Reds were taken to the sword by Arsenal. Like in the Newcastle game before, our opponents were clearly 2-3 years (at least) ahead of us in their development and Forest did crumble a bit. With no Gibbs-White or Anderson, and Wood only on the bench, Forest simply didn't create enough and paid the price, with Bukayo Saka scoring against us like he always does. Alas, Forest's good run came to an end, as Newcastle United came to the City Ground and put us to the sword. Ultimately the best team won and after the Chelsea-Arsenal game, the Reds moved down to fifth in a very tight Premier League table. It was a real shame for Murillo who finally scored his first Forest goal, but Newcastle played Forest at their own game and took their chances well. Referee Anthony Taylor was possibly lenient with a few decisions (Ryan Yates being the main beneficiary) but at least he didn't affect the outcome - it wasn't all about him today. A superb day for the Reds as Chris Wood's first half header preceded second half goals by Callum Hudson-Odoi and a belter by Ola Aina. It was a fabulous win for Forest against Steve Cooper's Leicester City. The first half saw Ryan Yates' strike cancelled out by Jamie Vardy, and a couple of great saves from Mads Hermansen from Nico Dominguez and Callum Hudson-Odoi. An early second half goal, finished with real quality by Chris Wood, put the Reds in charge and Wood's second goal put the game beyond doubt. The wait is over, as Forest finally got that elusive home win thanks to Chris Wood's snapshot and Dean Henderson's flappy hands upon his return to the City Ground.
