The conversation then switches to Steve Bannon's "war" on the GOP establishment and what it means for establishment politicians. On this episode of Hanging With Apes, the guys discuss the tragic Las Vegas mass shooting at a country music concert that left 59 dead and 527 others injured. Furthermore, the guys look at how people, the media, and politicians have reacted in the wake of the worst mass shooting in the United States. 

On this episode of Hanging With Apes the guys go over President Trump taking aim at the NFL and NBA. In a rally speech he urged for NFL owners to fire players who don't stand for the national anthem and then withdrew a White House invitation for the NBA Champion Golden State Warriors through twitter because of their star player Stephen Curry's opposition of the president. This led to much backlash from many athletes and most notably, LeBron James. NFL players across the country demonstrated during the national anthem on Sunday in a show of solidarity against President Trump. K. On this episode of Hanging with Apes the guys host guest speaker Vincent Williams, radio board operator and founder of blog site www.criticatxl.com. The guys discuss how anti-Trump The Emmy's were and how the event's viewership has faltered because of it. The discussion shifts to CNN's Brooke Baldwin reacting to Clay Travis saying he believes "in only two things completely: the First Amendment and boobs." The guys then talk about Jemele Hill calling Donald Trump a "white supremacist" on Twitter and how ESPN handled the situation. Moreover, the Apes analyze ESPN's First Take reaction to the anti-racism banner that read "Racism is as American as Baseball" in Fenway Park. On this episode of Hanging with Apes the guys remember September 11, 2001 by analyzing how that day changed many aspects of the American culture. Rx Phonics and K. Cartoon then discuss how UC Berkeley has prepared to gear up for Ben Shapiro's visit to the university campus to speak. The university has offered to provide support and counseling services for students, staff and faculty, stating: "We are deeply concerned about the impact some speakers may have on individuals' sense of safety and belonging. No one should be made to feel threatened or harassed simply because of who they are or for what they believe." There will be an increased and highly visible police presence to avoid violent protests from erupting. Finally, the guys end the show by talking about the start of the NFL season.

On this episode of Hanging With Apes the guys start by talking about the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, how the media handled it and the beginning of an extremely dangerous Hurricane Irma set to hit Puerto Rico and Florida. The guys then talk about Trump ending DACA and Hollywood losing their minds over it. K. Cartoon and Rx Phonics discuss the legislative route that congress could take in the phasing out of DACA which has a 6-month deadline. The conversation then pivots to the North Korea nuclear crisis where the world faces global catastrophe after the country has confirmed to have tested a hydrogen bomb. Finally, K. Cartoon talks about a recent documentary he saw called "The Keepers" and the guys end the show by talking about the evolution of television shows. 

On this episode the Audio Apes talk about the devastation that Hurricane Harvey has left on the state of Texas. The conversation then pivots to President Trump's decision to pardon controversial figure Sheriff Joe Arpaio which led to a discussion on social profiling as a whole. The Audio Apes then shared a 10 point list of demands for white people written by a Black Lives Matter leader and organizer, Chanelle Helm. Naturally the conversation shifted to Berkeley Mayor Jesse Arreguin's decision to request UC Berkeley on Monday to cancel conservatives' plans for a "Free Speech Week" where they plan to invite right-wing provocateur, Milo Yiannopoulos. This decision coming from the latest situation with Antifa protesters attacking peaceful right-wing protesters. Finally, the Audio Apes' share their thoughts on the Mayweather vs McGregor fight.

Cartoon and Rx Phonics talk about the violence that erupted at Charlottesville, Virginia between white nationalists/supremacists and counterprotesters, including Antifa, that sadly ended in the deaths of a woman and two state troopers. What are the limits of free speech? Did President Trump respond adequately to the situation? Was this situation worth dying for? Did journalists maintain their integrity in covering this situation? Both K. Cartoon and Rx Phonics answer these questions and many others on this episode of Hanging With Apes. 

On this episode of Hanging With Apes, K. Cartoon retracts statements he made about Vic Mensa being a mumble rapper and and actually shares how much he liked Mensa's debut album "The Autobiography." Rx Phonics then transitions into how music has recently taken a safer route as opposed to pushing boundaries like some of the best music in the late 90's and early 2000's. The conversation then leads to both K. Cartoon and Rx Phonics agreeing that it might be because record companies are scared of controversy. In this day and age companies like YouTube are taking it upon themselves to choose what should and shouldn't be censored and of course controversial music then greatly affect sales if it is censored. Finally, the guys end their conversation talking about the Google engineer who was fired for writing Google a memo or "manifesto," as some news outlets have called it, on his views on their diversity initiatives. 

The Audio Apes tackle the subject of the recently announced transgender military ban and how it is the culmination of bad political decisions that have been made over the course of many years. K. Cartoon and Rx Phonics then move into even deeper territory and break down the many weak politicians that are doing harm to the very people they claim to help.

Cartoon and Rx Phonics examine the current information and discuss their thoughts on whether or not they believe this story that was broke by BuzzFeed. The guys then talk about other such scenarios and how the idea of "rape culture' plays a role in creating bias. The episode then lands with a back and forth on high school guidance counselors and their level of effectiveness.

The Apes start off this episode by talking about the alarming TechCrunch report about a SoundCloud meeting concerning layoffs that affected 40 percent of SoundCloud's staff and revealing that they had only enough funds left for only 50 days. Rx Phonics and K. Cartoon discuss what possibly went wrong with SoundCloud's business model and what it means for independent artists who rely on it's platform. This leads the guys to talk about Trump's recent spat with CNN and how he's managed to have a winning formula in the past year.

Hanging With Apes offer their condolences and take a look at the Manchester suicide bombing incident at Britain's Manchester Arena immediately after an Ariana Grande concert where 22 people were killed and approximately 59 were injured. K. Cartoon and Rx Phonics look at how world leaders, media and celebrities have reacted to the bombing. This leads to both gentlemen looking at the situation and discussing how to realistically find resolve from an incident like this and in general how society should work from the inside out to find resolve in other situations in life.

This leads to the never-ending discussion on where healthcare should go now as it is a complicated issue. K.
