The Combine is approaching quickly and it's time to preview the Combine Invites by position group.  Episode 18 will be the first edition of the Combine preview and we'll start with the DL group as it's the first position group to take the field in Indy.  I'll take a look at each of the 50 DL prospects at the Combine and what I'm looking forward to seeing most when each of them take the field.

It's time for my first Mock Draft!  I've released my seven-round mock draft on readyforthedraft.com, but in thsi podcast, we'll take a look at the 1st Round.  What will the Bears do at No. 1?  Will they trade?  Do they stay put?  Who trades up to get a QB and which one will be drafted first?  Will Anderson and Jalen Carter are the top defensive players, but is there a chance either falls out of the top 5?  Not a chance!  I'll start talking through some of the potential scenarios teams will be facing this offseason and how the decisions will impact their focus at the top of the draft.

I dedicate Episode 11 to the first two weeks of October.  Hendon Hooker has emerged as a top QB prospect for this year's draft.  His accuracy, decision making and athleticism are on display on a weekly basis, but it's his deep ball that's better than anyone in College Football.  Could he put pressure on Bryce Young, CJ Stroud and Will Levis?  While Jahmyr Gibbs and Bijan Robinson battle it out for the top RB spot, Blake Corum has forced his way into the conversation as a top back.  ANd at wideout, we've been waiting for Quentin Johnston to arrive in 2022 and his performance against Kansas appears to be his breakout game.  TE Dalton Kincaid gave us glimpses of what to expect.  and if you're looking outside the Power 5, UTSA has a paid of WRs we can expect to be drafted on Day 3.  Defensively, Will Anderson, Jr. is back to his usual self a

I wrap up Week 4 of the College Football season as we say goodbye to September and hello to conference play in October.  CJ Stroud has emerged as the No. 1 QB after his performance against Wisconsin, while Hendon Hooker is putting pressure on Bryce Young and Will Levis after showing at home against Florida.  On the ground, Blake Corum and Devin Achane introduced themselves to the national stage and firmly in the conversation as top-5 RBs.  Jordan Addison didn't have a single target in the 1st Half against Oregon State, but he emerged late in the game with a TD with less than 90 seconds to play as the Trojans survived in Corvallis.  Up front, Paris Johnson, Jr., Jarrett Patterson and O'Cyrus Torrence proved why they're at or near the top of OL rankings.

Gregg put a wrap on Week 3 of the College football season.  Michael Penix Jr. and Bo Nix have the Pac-12 talking about their improved play, while Tyler Van Dyke has seen his draft stock take a hit in the ACC.  Jordan Addison looks to be the top WR prospect while Devon Achane, Zach Evans and Eric Gray put together impressive performances.  Defensively, BJ Ojulari is relentless, Isaiah Foskey, Tuli Tuipulotu and Garrett Williams are disruptive, but the player turning heads the most may be Texas Tech DE Tyree Wilson. 

Readyforthedraft.com's Gregg Schutze shares his passion for the NFL draft and takes you on a journey leading up to the 2023 NFL Draft.  Week 2 of the College Football season was definitely a wild one as three teams in the top 10 went down.  Alabama narrowly missed being the fourth team thanks to timely play by reigning Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young.  Jahmyr Gibbs and Bijan Robinson put on a pass-catching display in that game, leading me to declare that Gibbs, Robinson and Georgia's Kenny McIntosh are the top three receiving RB's in this year's draft class.  Will Anderson, Jr. struggled to make an impact until late, but one edge rusher soaring up draft board was Arkansas' Drew Sanders, who was a monster against South Carolina.  And last year's Biletnikoff Award winner Jordan Addison continues to prove why he's the most NFL-ready WR this year.

Week 1 of the 2022 College Football season is finally in the books with the first full slate of games spanning five days.  During that time, I watched 21 games to get a glimpse of the draft-eligible prospects.  I wanted to see how the National Champs would fare against Oregon, if Jalen Carter, Nolan Smith and Christopher Smith could take the reins of the defense and what Stetson Bennett, Kenny McIntosh and Darnell Washington could bring to the table.  How would CJ Stroud fare against the Fighting Irish and who would win the battle between Paris Johnson, Jr. and Isaiah Foskey?  Then there's Anthony Richardson.  I'm definitely on the hype train after a stellar performance versus Utah.  But Brenton Cox, Jr. and Ventrell Miller needed to come up big if the Gators wanted to beat the Utes.  How did that go?  Florida State is 2-0 after a wild w

With so many matchups over five days of action, I decided to divide my review into two podcast, dedicating Episode 6 to the games on Thursday and Friday. But first, I recap Northwestern's upset win against Nebraska in Dublin, Ireland where Peter Skoronski put on a show and solidified himself as a top OT prospect with a chance at the top 10. Week 0 of the college football season is here.  We have a number of games Saturday August 27th and Gregg breaks down some of the matchups and players to watch.  Northwestern's Peter Skoronski, a legitimate 1st Round candidate, will do battle against Nebraska's Ochaun Mathis and a quartet of LB's led by the fiery Garrett Nelson.  Bret Bielema will rely on a power run game at Illinois led by RB Chase Brown, who should have his way with a young Wyoming defense.  We get out first look at FSU OT Robert Scott, Jr. to see if he can emerge as a Day 2 OT.  Josh Downs is primed for another breakout season, but will be doing so without Sam Howell as UNC takes on Florida A&M. This episode is dedicated to the RB position.  While we didn't see a RB taken in Round 1 of the 2022 draft, I expected Breece Hall to be off the board before the Jets picked in the 2nd Round.  Early results point to New York getting a steal at the top of Round 2.  That said, while there doesn't seem to be a question that Bijan Robinson will be a 1st Rounder, just how high will he come off the board?  And will an explosive back a la Travis Etienne from just a couple years ago hear his name called on Day One?  Could it be Jahmyr Gibbs?  Will Sean Tucker be next?  The next tier is filled with power backs that lack breakaway speed and speed backs who don't bring a power element to their game.  Who will rise to the top of that list?  And is Rasheen Ali the most overlooked back in this year's draft class?

The countdown is on to the start of the 2022 College Football Season.  Last episode, we took a look at the top offensive prospects to be on the lookout for during the season.  This episode it's all about the defense.  We know about Will Anderson, Jr. and Jalen Carter up front, but we should expect the likes of Isaiah Foskey, Noah Sewell, Eli Ricks and Antonio Johnson to make some noise this year.  Will we finally see another prospect from Army to be taken in Round 1?  Andre Carter II has a great shot.  Can Nolan Smith step out of the shadows of the LB's who were drafted this past season?  Can Bryan Bresee and Tyler Davis return from injury to join Carter in the top half of Round 1?
