Today I'm talking to Mat the founder of Gaymer x and CEO of MidBoss. Gaymer X is a gaming convention in the San Francisco area. He is also the CEO of Mid Boss which is in the process of releasing the video game Readonly Memories.  GX (short for GaymerX) is an annual convention focused on games and gaming culture – Video Games, Tabletop Games & Card Games.  It focuses on creating a fun and safe space for gamers and gaymers of all identities to have fun and hang out with like minded folks. GaymerX is a “queer space”, in that many of the panels revolve around queer issues or queer devs,  but GX is made for everyone and everyone is welcome!  We talk about how GX got started on Kickstarter and the lessons learned over the years.

Learn the secret of how Kingdom Con got started.   This young San Diego convention is an awesome example of what can happen when someone decides to just do it. The game loft is an amazing project from Belfast Maine  We have all seen how game stores get used as after school daycare, many stores accept it, the game loft embraced it.
