There's a lot to talk about this week. Alabama, Florida, Iowa, Michigan State, USC, Stanford, Clemson, and North Carolina are all set to play in their conference championship game. The Big Ten and ACC championships are basically play-in games for the playoffs. After a loss to Florida State last week, Florida's playoff hopes have been crushed, but they still look to upset Alabama and bring the SEC crown back to the East. USC and newly named head coach Clay Helton look to continue the momentum with a rematch against Kevin Hogan and the Cardinal as the two schools battle for the Rose Bowl. Georgia fired Mark Richt and Miami hired him. George and Mike join us to discuss the week and prepare for the release of the final rankings.

  • Ep. 12 Miami Job, Russell Out, Mock Playoff Committee

    27/10/2015 Duración: 40min

Week 9 of the college football season followed the trend of the rest--it was crazy. Top ten teams struggled on the road as #3 Utah fell to unranked USC in the coliseum and #9 Florida State suffered its first regular season loss since 2012 to Georgia Tech in Atlanta. Clemson put a beating on Miami leading to the Hurricanes giving head coach Al Golden the boot. Baylor may have beaten Iowa State, but it suffered an even worse loss as quarterback Seth Russell is out for the season with a neck injury. Jared Goff's draft stock is continuing to plummet after another abysmal performance in a loss to UCLA.  The Playoff Selection Committee comes out with their first rankings of the season next Tuesday November 3, so this weekend's games will have huge implications on the initial rankings. To prepare, we play the role of the Selection Committee and argue who we think deserves the top four spots.
