Sinopsis
Liberary is a podcast series about reading public domain books aloud for entertainment, education, and accessibility. Whether you're looking for audio material to help you with learning spoken English, tired of the robotic voice of your screen reader, or just want something to listen to while you work, Liberary will do its best to entertain and educate. Please note that I won't be reading classic classics often. I do like children's books and mythology. Each new book will feature a brief section regarding history and other trivia to help give modern readers a well-rounded understanding of the literature and its historical context. New episodes available weekly. The facebook page can be found at facebook.com/LiberaryPodcast

27/06/2016 Duración: 40minIn which Olaf is given life lessons and Vinland is spotted at last. Words I had to look up to find out how to pronounce: Quiescent (related to acquiesce, which I didn't realize until later!)

The Autobiography of Lorenzo de' Medici (A Commentary On My Sonnets)
14/02/2016 Duración: 52minMerry Valentine's day, here are some poems and tangents about love from a few centuries ago! Do you know where lovelorn sighs come from? Lorenzo does! When your heart is all aflutter, it heats up the air in your lungs and the air comes rushing out in a big, wistful sigh as you gaze soulfully at the one who houses your heart (which popped out of your ribcage and through your eyes into the eyes of your love when your gazes met). Nothing to do with oxygen at all!

Personal Memoirs of Henry Schoolcraft 7
10/02/2016 Duración: 31minThe last time I'm reading this book. I'm back and I'm ready to read more interesting things! (I also forgot his middle initial is R and called it B, a thousand apologies, etc, etc.) Join me on Valentine's day for some love poetry and analysis of aforementioned poetry by Lorenzo de' Medici!

Personal Memoirs of Henry Schoolcraft 6
11/01/2016 Duración: 01h15minIn which Schoolcraft is slowly driven mad by cabin fever in Sault Ste. Marie during the winter, and I mangle lots of Ojibwe words along with a few French words. I just learned after finishing this podcast that I'm mispronouncing Sault! It should be 'soo', not 'salt'. Yes, I'm bad at words I've never heard said before. Count on me learning some basic Ojibwe before the next podcast so I can at least know how wrong I am when I try to read parts of this book.

Personal Memoirs of Henry Schoolcraft 2
17/10/2015 Duración: 59minMr. Schoolcraft is unfairly criticized by some petty individuals who hide behind a false name regarding some narrative he published. A man is murdered by a sociopathic Indian. Mr. Schoolcraft is relocated up north as a representative among the Indian tribes. Various former presidents are absolutely riveted by fossils well before paleontology was a proper field. I skip a lot of boring stuff. Hooray, historical literature!
-
