I was in San Francisco this weekend and heard the restaurant we were eating at was scheduled to be torn down for new housing development. Whether this is true or not, this inspired my thoughts on Gentrification. It's not that I'm against modernization. But there's a lie. We blame big corporations and big developers causing the disappearance of local Chinatowns, but it wouldn't be so easy if it were for burdensome government regulation and fees. Look Walmart can afford to pay for regulations and fees to run business, but it's the small business that can't. You think that a regulation designed to hurt Target and Walmart will actually hurt them. It doesn't, it hurts the small business trying to compete. I'll admit. I'm a little green on the subject, so let's talk about it on Facebook.

This is by no means any proof, but God allowed polygamy in the Old Testament. Yes, even though it was a sin. So what does this have to do with the war on homosexuality?

This is the statement that will get you to hate me. You will unfriend me. Unsubscribe from this podcast. And troll me to the end of my days. I was surprised but it's true. Here's the statement: For all my life, white people have been pretty nice to me. I could lie and say they all were nice but with a well hidden racist undertone. But I have this fault of seeing the good in people.

Spoiler Alert - The Bible is clear...The Old Testament is clear. Homosexuality is a sin. But why? Context is always a good way to understand why God does the things he does.

When it comes to my real feelings about racism, I tend to be very jokey about it. I do that because I'm frustrated by the inconsistencies of those who claim they aren't racists and believe that white people are the worst things about America. The current debate about racism is less about peace and equality and more about politics. Politically we need to show my opponent is more racist than me. If your goal isn't peace and equality, then you're really not serious about ending racism.

I have a solution to ending racism. It's simple, but it's not easy by any means. First, we have to seek peace and become peacemakers. Second, we have to forgive. Simple, yet hard, but not impossible.

How real is the clan? The news would have you believe there's a resurgence in the white nationalist movement. That is until 500 morons showed up in Charlottesville. That's barely 1 percent of 1 percent of the women's march, but somehow the media thinks this is enough for news. Somehow the mainstream media feels that by giving legitimacy to a small faction of humanity, we should all go nuts. The only power the Klan has is the power you give them.

Before I delve deeper into the whole Evangelical War against the LGBT community. I think it is important to understand the difference between the Old and New Testament. I address the question, "If God is real, why doesn't he just show himself?" Enjoy this incredibly simplistic explanation.

Yep, I turned 50 last Sunday. I was at the National Comedy Theatre in San Diego, when midnight struck. Went to the fair with the family. We ate ribs and I bought expensive pillows for me and my daughter. Today, I reflect a little on growing old and the shift in thinking from what will I do with my life to how will I wind my life down. How do you think about the latter days of your life?

God said it. I believe it. That settles it. I hate that phrase with a passion and for some reason, we teach our kids this phrase. It reeks of "do as I say, not as I do." The Bible is the word of God. So we are speaking the very words of God himself. So why would you argue?

Today, I talk a little about my journey as a Christian. I've always questioned everything I believe. I think this is healthy and you have to risk unbelief for the sake of belief. Also, the kid joins me on the discussion. She's only 9.

Convention season is finally over with the end of Comic Con. One thing you can always count on are the guys with the Yellow Signs showing up and preaching the gospel...or more accurately preaching Hell. God commands Christians to preach the Good News, but just how good is the news of Hell? How effective are these yellow signs? Well let's talk about it.

I'll just get to the point. I'm pro-life. Does that mean I hate women and want to control them? No. But without understanding each other's opinions, there can be no place for debate and find common ground. I changed courses today. I was going to talk about something that will enrage you, but instead, I need to follow-up on the last episode.  I had a little epiphany. I've been incredibly busy this summer and this is my first chance to record a podcast.  Last year, the Pope asked Christians to apologize to the LGBTQ community. Although I am not Catholic, God impressed on my heart to post an apology for the war Christians have waged against the homosexual community. This is my apology.
