We are all about introducing new music on this podcast and via my radio show The Cutting Edge Countdown, and it doesn't get any newer than this. While the band has existed for a few years, it's really just been these two menacing guitar players, writing, recording, and playing their way into the hearts of Texas metal fans. They don't sound like Pantera though, it's progressive leaning metal core with some classic rock sensiblitly thrown in. Rockcast 446 - Neal Middleton of Royal Bliss
13/03/2026 Duración: 32min20 years ago the Salt Lake City, Utah based band Royal Bliss put out their debut album, then the economy crashed and the upward trajactory of the band was put on hold. A couple more albums and a ton of touring saw the band hitting on all gears 10 years ago when after a couple top 20 singles and a ton more touring the pandemic hit, and everything got put on hold again. Here in early 2026 Royal Bliss are at again, fingers crossed nothing crazy happens this time. Lead singer Neal Middleton is here to debut the new song "By My Side" and tell some stories.

Rockcast 444 - Dameon Aranda of Aranda

Rockcast 441 - Joakim Broden of Sabaton
29/01/2026 Duración: 17min25 years ago a group of metal loving guys in Sweden formed a band with an idea to do music based on Military history, and it worked. Little did they know then that a millions of people would gravitate towards that idea. That idea is the band Sabaton. I was one of those millions of people who loved the idea and the premise, plus the music is fantastic. Pure heavy metal in every sense of the phrase. Their latest album Legends has songs based on historical military legends, like the Templars or Napoleon. There is also the song "Crossing the Rubicon" that features the help of Nothing More, giving Sabaton their first ever charted rock radio hit. Lead singer Joakim Broden joins me this week on Cutter's Rockcast and my radio show The Cutting Edge Countdown.

Rockcast 438 - Ryan Phillips from Story of the Year

Rockcast 436 - Wolfgang Van Halen and Myles Kennedy

Yes he plays all the instruments on their albums, Mammoth III just came out. On stage though Wolfgang has a plethra of amazing musicians backing him up. Myles Kennedy is the lead singer of Alter Bridge who's new album AB is due out in January. He's also the lead singer for Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. When he's not busy with those projects he has is own solo band. Mammoth are on tour until mid December with Myles opening up the shows and I had the pleasure of joining them on a recent tour stop that ended with a conversation in Myles' dressing room with both of them.
