Tom Laidlaw started his National Hockey League career with the New York Rangers in 1980, arriving from Northern Michigan University. He also played for the Los Angeles Kings. He left the NHL after the 1990 season. He played 1 season for the Phoenix Roadrunners of the IHL before retiring from hockey. Afterward, he became the colour commentator on Kings' radio broadcasts.He currently runs a sports management company[5] in Rye Brook, New York. Laidlaw is also a motivational speaker and frequently uses his mantra of living a "True Grit Life." Steve Blass was Signed by the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1960, he would make his major league debut 4 years later and joined the team permanently in 1966. He won 18 games in 1968,  From 1969 to 1972 he won 60 games, with a career-high 19 victories in 1972. In that season, he made the National League All-Star team and was the runner up for the National League Cy Young Award. He stared in the 1971 World Series against the Baltimore Orioles,  pitching two complete game wins, allowing only seven hits and two runs in 18 innings, and was the winning pitcher in the 7th and deciding game. After his career He joined the Pirates' TV and radio broadcast team in 1983 He  retired from broadcasting last week after 60 years with the organization as a player and broadcaster. The New York Mets drafted Neil Allen out of Bishop Ward High School in Kansas City, Kansas, in the eleventh round of the 1976 Major League Baseball draft. In just his second professional season he went 10-2 with a 2.79 earned run average and led the Carolina League with 126 strikeouts with the Lynchburg Mets He  came up with the Mets as a starting pitcher in 1979, and he made his major league debut on April 15 against the Philadelphia Phillies the Mets  moved him to the bullpen. later that season , and on July 28, he earned his first of his 75 major league saves. Henrik Lundqvist made 43 saves to earn his first win of the 2019-20 season and the 450th win of his NHL career. By making his first appearance of the 2019-20 tonight, Lundqvist, who began his 15th season with the Rangers, passed Mike Richter for the most regular seasons with at least one appearance by a Rangers goaltender in franchise history, and he tied Richter for the most seasons with at least one appearance (regular season or playoffs) in Rangers history (Note: Richter appeared in at least one regular season game with the Rangers in 14 different seasons from 1989-90 – 2002-03 but made his NHL debut during the 1989 Stanley Cup Playoffs). Henrik Lundqvist made 32 saves in regulation and the five-minute overtime period, and he stopped all three shooters he faced in the shootout to earn a win in tonight’s contest. Lundqvist was selected as the game’s First Star. From the start of the second period on Sept. 20 at New Jersey until the Flyers recorded their first goal in tonight’s game, he made 41 consecutive saves. In addition, he has stopped 55 of the last 56 shots he has faced, dating back to the start of the second period on Sept. 20 at New Jersey (.982 SV%). After allowing a goal on the first shot he faced in the preseason, Lundqvist has stopped 66 of the last 69 shots he has faced (.957 SV%). Staal is entering his 10th season as an alternate captain with the Rangers, as he was first named an alternate captain at the start of the 2010-11 season. Among players on the current roster, Staal is the longest-tenured member of the team’s leadership group. Since the Rangers/NHL began to have players wear an ‘A’ on their jersey as an alternate captain during the 1985-86 season (after not doing so for approximately a decade), Staal is one of only three players who have either worn a ‘C’ or an ‘A’ as captain or an alternate captain with the Rangers for 10 or more seasons.
