089: Dan Lappin | Helping Our People Rewire
11/06/2020 Duración: 28minTruth You Can Act On: What are your internal self-limitations? We all have them, but awareness is the first step to overcoming. [00:08:59] we have to become self-aware or cautious of them if we're going to be able to move away from them and start listening to the other voices that we have, which are far more empowering. [00:09:13] What are your superpowers? Know them. Embrace them. Work on belief in you. Get rid of the assumptions and negative thoughts that hold you back from fully utilizing your superpowers. [00:11:37] we tend to overestimate what we have in place and what we currently do. And we tend to underestimate what we could gain by doing something different. And we do that innately and it keeps us safe because if we can control and experience, we can give ourselves the illusion of being safe. [00:11:56] [00:12:39] according to the research, we're having 40,000 potentially negative thoughts, every single day of self doubt. Talking ourselves out of something. And then out of that 80 %, those negat

Healthcare Series: Jill Kersh | Leading with Gratitude from Within
09/06/2020 Duración: 32minTruth You Can Act On: Reminder: Focus on what you have, not what’s missing. [00:01:39] When you have a leader that's grounded in gratitude, they're focusing on what they have instead of what is missing. They make each employee feel seen and heard and appreciated, which leads to increased morale and decreased turnover. [00:01:53] [00:13:59] When they're in those negative thoughts, The leader is focusing on what's missing. Oftentimes they're using comparison. Avoid comparison; comparison, kills gratitude quicker than anything else. [00:14:11] Gratitude should not be an after-thought of as “nice to have”, or “I'll try to get there this week.” It should be an intentional effort in a core practice and leadership. [00:05:26] It's a matter of choice. So the organization and a leader has to start from, you know, top down showing gratitude, and then it, honestly, it becomes contagious and everyone under them starts expressing heartfelt gratitude and that team comes together and it really has an incredible impact

088: Matt Hassler | Evolving Work Environments Post-Pandemic
04/06/2020 Duración: 16minTruth You Can Act On: The entire work environment has permanently changed. Your business has to change in order to survive and thrive. This is a must to understand and embrace as a leader. [00:08:45]from an opportunity perspective, if a business is able to adapt and work from home, I think there's a tremendous amount of opportunity maybe to even create a competitive advantage.[00:08:55] [00:08:11] The problem is when they need to develop or grow into a new role and change. So employee development and a work from home environment is much more difficult than it is in the office. And that challenge is even greater for new employees who are trying to adapt to a new culture and to learn new tasks for the very first time. Doing that from a home office is much more difficult. [00:08:39] Be incredibly transparent with great communication. Communicate more and share more. [00:03:07]I think what's really important for organizations as they open back up is first of all, they need to ensure that they are being incre

087: Jason Cochran| What's Your Culture DNA?
28/05/2020 Duración: 18minTruth You Can Act On: Have clarity. Get clear on the why, the how, and the what, the values and the traits to create the core of your culture. [00:03:38] Jason: There has to be clarity within the organization as to what the actual culture values and traits are.[00:03:45] [00:04:32] Jason: Unfortunately, we often think culture and we treat it like it's something that can just happen organically, but there has to be a clear plan with it. One of the questions I often ask is, what would it look like if you didn't have a product strategy with clarity. What if you didn't have a revenue strategy that had any clarity to it? Or how about a leadership development strategy? Without clarity, if you don't have clarity for a culture strategy, there's going to be a lot of uncertainty and expectations [00:04:57] To sustain, we have to create and implement a system to consistently execute proactive activities to drive our culture. [00:03:47] Jason: we've got to sustain. The reinforcement of those values and traits to eve
