So as today is national make up your own holiday day, I thought it was an ideal time to discuss hashtags. There are many rules of thought right now as to whether you should use them at all or use them sparingly etc. etc. My personal thought is, as someone with no brand or a little brand awareness you need people to still find you which is why hashtags are so important, especially for those people who use their chosen social media channel as a search engine. The other day was #lipaooreciationday this got my thinking. Please stop just paying your audience lip service. We all want to grow our audiences, and obviously, especially now, we’d all really like to be doing business to keep cash flow healthy. However, if your audience take the time to comment on your content, your sure as anything better take the time to write something back to them. Some may be just simple hi thanks for the comment, but other people might be opening a line of communication with you. If you get 100’s, OK just respond to the first 10 for example, but do not ignore people who’ve taken the time to comment, especially if You’re only getting 3 comments anyway.

To many of us like Ceaser get hung up on what our close friends and family think of us hence why today I want to talk to you about perfection of your content and why you you need to distance yourself from what people might say that are close to you that's derogatory about your content. Remember your content isn't made for them, and as much as you want their approval that won't build your brand or pay your bills.

Wow, #nationalpotatochip day or for is in the UK crisps day. As we all know they come a huge amount of flavours but we all have our favourite. This is just like our social media for our customers. There will be one channel that our tribe / avatar will hang out on. This is where you need to look at putting a majority of your efforts. This doesn’t mean you forget all the other channels, you still need to be posting on them, but you need to be offering your audience their favourite flavour the most and then getting different flavours too for content. So, remember you need to learn who your avatar is and then speak to them on their favourite platform of choice the most.
