J wasn't creatively productive this week and instead watched the amazing MUAs on Glow Up 2, K was super productive and finished her shawl and is almost done with her counted cross stitch! J is happy her candidacy paperwork is in and PA was taken off of the MA quarantine list and K glad she can fully dress herself again and Allston Christmas! Wear a mask! Vote! K restarted (and restarted and restarted) her knitted shawl several times this week and J has been focused on writing essays instead of being creative. This week we discuss trying to travel during COVID. Topics include: wanting to go on vacation, lack of national coordination, risks you're willing to take, hotel stays, travel restrictions, the privilege of quarantining, not trusting others to follow rules, COVID testing, planning vacations for next year, and exploring your own state. K's working on a counted cross stitch piece and J is still working on her sweater, which will probably take an eternity to finish. Episode 75! It's just the two of us this week, in the dead of summer. J's drinking Virtue Cider Rosé, a proper farmhouse cider, and K's drinking Harpoon Brewery's Camp Wannamango. This week we discuss our distaste for summer heat. Topics include: lack of central air in New England; showering when your bathroom already feels like a sauna; needing me time outside when it's the surface of the sun; pool envy; hot cars; sleeping (or not sleeping) in the heat; and working out and being a sweaty mess. J's finished some important ordination paperwork and is still working on her sweater and K's finished her blanket and is about to start a new shawl project. Episode 74! J's on the road again and stopped at her sister, Tammy's, house, who ended up being a guest on this week's episode. J & Tammy enjoy some Culcavy salted caramel Jameson-infused Irish Cream and K has some Fat Bastard Chardonnay, which has "rich, round flavor". Today we talk about returning to school and COVID with Tammy, who's a teacher! Topics include: waiting for a plan; what it means for parents, teachers, and students; virtual, streaming, and asynchronous learning; wanting to be in person but wanting to be safe; unrealistic expectations; the need for considering science and data; and being thankful for technology. J's still working on her sweater and has pretty toes; K made a blueberry bundt cake for her mom's birthday; and Tammy's finishing up a cross stick project and going to an estate sale. K's glad for vote-be-mail and eating outdoors at a restaurant for the fire time since COVID, Tammy's glad J could stop by for a day of fun in the sun, and J is glad she got to go home and found Clorox

J's started CPE this week! K's drinking Mighty Squirrel's Velvet Moon, a mocha stout and J's having a Bubly lime sparkling water. This week we discuss plans for going back to the workplace in the midst of a pandemic. Topics include: flexibility, guilt trips, safety, whether our jobs can still be at home or not, workplace expectations, how decisions are made, personal responsibility, online education, and long-term effects of the pandemic. K's still practicing her crochet skills, and J finished her blanket and started a sweater! J's glad to be in a place to feel comfortable asking for help and K's happy for a new gadget! Episode 71! It's a long episode this week - so buckle in! We're joined by our friend Kaitie once again! Episode 69! We are joined this week by our friend Ben, who lives in NYC and went to school with K & J! J is drinking Akiyoshi Chardonnay from California, K is drinking a Knapp Winery Vignoles semi-sweet wine from upstate NY, and Ben is having a French Pinot Noir. Today's topic is resurrected fashion trends that we can do without: proportions, high-waisted shorts, high waters pants, 80's fashion, acid washed jeans, extreme ripped jeans, Abercrombie phase, scrunchies, VSCO girls, crocs, jumpsuits, pockets (or lack thereof), academic regalia, professional wear, and shoulder pads! We also have some denominational talk, Golden Girls love, and RuPaul's Drag Race possible bonus content. J made another piece of clothing for Nicholas the bear, K finished her lap blanket and made a lemon meringue pie, and Ben has been tapping in quarantine!
